“I just want to give a huge thank-you to the amazing team at the Old Saybrook Post Office! I made a mistake and accidentally put the wrong return item in a package that was already in the outgoing mail bin. The staff went above and beyond — they took the time to locate my package (which had already made its way to the bottom of the pile!) and helped me fix everything so I could send the correct return.
Everyone was so kind, patient, and understanding through the whole situation. It’s not every day you see people go the extra mile like that, and I’m so grateful for their help and professionalism. Thank you again to the whole team — you really saved the day!”

“Of course, the people in this area are so kind, but nothing gives that hometown feel and old school courtesy and respect like the post office in Niantic. Jim, exceptionally, went out of his way to help me by finding a box for my very awkward package and helped me figure out how to get it sent and everyone there is just lovely thank you so so much!!”
“The staff was pleasant, helpful, and very friendly. I greatly appreciated the fast and courteous service. I make it a point to visit small town post offices like Chester, CT for this reason.”

“We've owned a home in Essex CT for 12 years. The local USPS "Post Office" staff have always been extremely helpful and very professional. We're lucky to have them serving our community!”
“I always have an excellent experience here— as a customer with a PO Box, the lady (I forget her name, but she has silver-toned hair) and gentleman I usually speak with are very kind and accommodating, especially when I have to certify mail or need explanation for a new process. They are usually so on top of whatever I need/have to pick up, that I barely have to say a word-- they clearly have deep passion for their job! However, the younger lady I spoke with today was not as nice, and she seemed very quick to dismiss her associates in front of me. As a person with social anxiety, I find it difficult to manage being yelled at while leaving, especially when I quickly returned with the correct postage. I do appreciate her attempt to let my "mistake go," but I really resented the tone and way in which I was talked to otherwise.. East Haddam is a very kind community, and I always enjoy the walk to the Post Office. I’m sure the next time I’m in, I’ll be treated with the usual kindness I typically face (whether I make an error or not…) As a recurrent visitor, hostility is not welcome. I believe, in my early morning routine, I may have erroneously not communicated that I certify the mail I left (sent to an internal PO box) and used prestamped envelopes... I truly believe that kindness is the best communicator! I am aware of everyone having a bad day once in a while-- I hope I can remove/edit this review to reflect the future and past experiences I've had, only...
For the other employees, they do such an excellent job of tackling my naivety as a young, new PO Box customer, and I look forward to my visits, despite the anxiety associated with this morning's drop.”
“Amazing, fast, expert service. I walked in with a couple items that I wanted to mail out, and Danette put together the box faster than I could fill out the address label. Thanks!”
“Friendly and helpful staff! Always patient to answer my detailed questions, help me find the most affordable shipping options, and are happy to keep me updated on the newest stamps coming out! Rarely a long wait too!”

“My experience with Deep River Post Offices has been all positive. They deliver packages right to my door when they don't fit in the Box on the street. When I request to hold mail, they do a great job.”
“I've been going to this P.O at least two times a week. For years. Not only are many of these reviews inaccurate, they're incredibly mean. I always found the people that work there really pleasant and efficient-even when the line is out the door. Having been a fly on the wall listening to a number of really irritating customers, you might want to ask yourself what kind of customer service YOU would provide should you be in their shoes. You want great service? Be nice.”
