We had an emergency situation at my home while I was away on business. Clear water backing up into the house. The leech field was flooded due to a faulty leak from a bathroom appliance. I called Downie Septic and they were at my house to meet my wife within 15 Minutes. The entire crew from Downie were extremely helpful and guided my wife to getting the problem solved quickly. It could have been a major disaster and it was avoided because the staff at Downie Septic gave proper advice and guidance. I can’t thank them enough for going over and above with their service

Having just moved to CT, I was nervous because I didn’t know who to use to install a new septic tank for our house. Thank goodness my realtor recommended Downie’s! They know their stuff and go above and beyond to do a job right for a fair price. Shout out to Lee and his crew for taking such great care of us-he patiently answered my questions, and easily did some trouble-shooting when something unexpected with our site came up! I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone needing septic or excavation work! They truly care about their customers! Thank you Downie’s!

We have used Downie’s Septic & Excavation for so many things over the years and would never go with anyone else! They are so easy to schedule a septic pump out or inspection with, they were so easy to work with when we put on an addition, bringing in different machines when needed, dumpster services! You name it they have it! They’re the best.

I would recommend Downies, From the call for information and then service, Chris was most informative. I was concerned about tank location and need for digging/lawn disruption, she assured me a probe spike would be used and careful, targeted digging. All accomplished by the father & son techs that did the job. They also made specific maps to locate for the next service when I will call Downie's Septic!!

Run from Duncan Downey. They left my yard looking like a construction site. They used terrible junk fill with rocks in it and cheap grass seed that never grew. Also collapsed the old tank location which settled and sunk in . I called for them to come back 2 times with no response`. They were the most expensive quote, so I don't know why I chose them. My mistake and now have a bog expense to repair my chewed up lawn with bald spots and rocks.

I was impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of the septic inspection they performed prior to my home purchase. Septic placement mapping, pictures, video of inside the system and recommendations/estimates for what could use fixing all in the report.

The owner of this place doesn’t like to pay his employees. Worked for this guy a few days and says he will send me a check but never did. Very disappointed of Downie’s Septic smh
