“Evelyn was so kind & helpful throughout the entire experience. My friend & I found out about this place through a recommendation & was truly not disappointed. The atmosphere was gorgeous, unique, & intentionality crafted. It was like walking into a decades memorabilia. I can't wait to attend the events that Evelyn spoke about that she has sometimes! Otherwise, I truly think it's a space to find items that have character & you wouldn't find anywhere else!”
“A beautiful store filled with all sorts of memorabilia, appliances, clothing, media, and more from the 20th Century and sometimes other older stuff! Walking into this store is like walking into a time capsule; There is so much to find you could get lost for hours trying to spot everything! The merchandise is well taken care of, despite the sheer amount of merchandise the store is easily navigable and open, and the staff are polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about many of the wares' history!Overall, even if it's just to immerse yourself in the beauty of the past, this store is worth stopping into! Everything is fairly priced, and there's a clearance rack that pops up from time to time!”

“Went there today. Bought a jockey and a few things. Traveled 2 hours from Long Island. The lady couldn’t be nicer. She recommended a nice diner 5 minutes away which was excellent. We spent the day in the area. Very relaxing. Could not be happier. Sorry don’t remember her name but she was lovely. No pressure. 5 out of 5”

“Shop run by volunteers, they’re all nice and happy to let you look at something behind glass (some jewelry, more expensive decorative things)Besides that, you’ll find some of everything here - housewares, accessories, crafting things, children’s section etc! They take cards. Check the price tags, if something has been there for more than a month, it’s half off.”

“After a warm personal welcome you can go treasure hunting in 5 rooms full of collectible vintage and new items. The things are well displayed, it’s cleaned and priced. You can find original items in the full rooms.”
“I decided to put a few luxury items into consignment with this location as it was my first time and unfortunately 2 of my items were incorrectly priced out which would have resulted in me losing over 200 dollars. But thanks to the store manager jackie. She immediately intervened and rectified the situation the same day. Jackie was very professional and went above and beyond to handle the situation. I can without a doubt highly recommend this location for all your consignment needs and if you were to have an issue of any kind make sure to contact the store manager jackie as she will make sure your experience goes smoothly. The store could have easily said oh well mistakes happen not our problem. As im sure some places will definitely do but not jackie she made sure that this problem was handled right away. I look forward to continuing business with this store as my experience was a great one at the end.”
“While there used to be a Salvation Army where I live (Vernon, now closed forever), I know there are still other stores like these scattered all over CT.
I trekked to Hamden earlier this year and when I went here, they had some cool stuff.
I found a couple of good things that I liked. The clothing selection is decent, book selections are a little iffy. There's literally so much space that could be used to keep merchandise in these areas. Service is really good.
I think this Salvation Army is better than other ones I've been to.”
