Used to be a good store but no more. They are understocked & whatever they do have is just overpriced crapola. The customer service stinks too. They have also jumped on the Greed Bandwagon, looking to charge 25 cents for a bag! The clerk or maybe the manager acts like the money to get a bag is coming out of her pocket. I would not bother paying anything for a bag because I don't think any store should charge for bags at all. God knows they are already overcharging for the items in the store! If you don't mind overpaying for overpriced junk, then this store is the place.

Went to buy cigarettes asked for specific kind and was handed the gold's didn't realize till I got home was pissed that Jeff made me waste money on cigarettes

Usually I’ll go here for a few quick things because it’s convenient but i feel like walking through an entire Walmart super store and self check out would be faster than walking through the Oxford Dollar General. I usually grab 2-3 items and it usually takes me about 20 min to get out of there because there’s only 1 or 2 people working and no one is ever at the register. Half the time I have to yell across the store “can someone check me out? Helllooooo?” and that’s when someone comes running out of the break room saying “sorry sorry sorry”. Tell that worker to put his weed pen down and work. I almost don’t wanna walk into that establishment ever and don’t get me started on the looks of the store. Bins everywhere, boxes everywhere, U boats blocking 8 of 10 isles. I recommend AVOIDING Oxford Dollar General.

My experience was wonderful ! My girlfriend & I just visited the Oxford Ct store & immediately was greeted at the door! The store was being stocked so they were busy working the register & unpacking the items yet 1 of the workers Mo was very helpful, courteous &was very very helpful & polite! Keep up the good work cause they deserve it!Thank youLisa & Joan

I was looking at beauty products and a Staff person came up next to me with a box and was like excuse me and started stocking things on the wall right in front of me!!! I felt like I was in her way so I just went to the checkout..not be greeted..or even acknowledged by the person who cashed me out only to say goodbye..not the first time I have been cashed out by her..no hello no thank you!! I realize they have their job to do with merchandise..but it’s not like I was going to camp out there!! I think she could have given me a minute to shop instead of taking over the place I was standing in front of..rude..and rude at the checkout. 1 star because I like all of the other Dollar General’s I go to..Prospect, CT store is sooo much better!!
