This was my first visit to central Mazda. And overall it was o.k. Some pluses and some challenges.
The service receptionist was very courteous and helped to explain various items.
And they were able to schedule me in for a diagnostic and the repair within a few days of calling.
And the repair was done on time as promised.
My challenges include being called my a sales person claiming interest in buying my vehicle before I ever set foot in the door. Not only that they were asking if the estimate was satisfactory if I was ready to commit to buying a car. Not a good first impression. I declined on principle and find it highly unlikely that I would trust the sales people given this high pressure tactic.
If you go, ignore the really large letter that say service department on the Mazda building. Instead look for the tiny little yard sign redirecting you to the Hundai service department because that is where all vehicles are checked in and actually serviced. It would have been helpful to have this information ahead of time, like when I made the appointment. And for them to have posted a sign on the service department doors in the Mazda building.
The waiting area is ok aloud tv and no work space makes the area a difficult place to be productive while you wait

Waiting THREE AND A HALF hours. Essentially to them pump up my tires, since the “ diagnostics” they were doing on my car took the THREE HOURS. Then for them to tell me the problem with my car isn’t part of a recall because “they have never seen the problem in a Mazda before.” So they ordered a part that they didn’t have. But still charged me.
Not happy and will not be going back to this Mazda.

Terrible experience at Central Mazda in Plainsville, Connecticut. The manager, Asa Zorn, was rude and unprofessional, definitely not what you expect when visiting a car dealership. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I’d recommend going elsewhere until they improve their customer service.

From beginning to end buying a new car was a great experience, the service was AMAZING!!! We worked with Asa, Kendra and John, all totally fabulous and professional!!! Thank you all so much for all being so great to work with!!!! If I ever needed to buy another car, I would definitely return!

This was my first time buying a new car and they were so patient and friendly. They were more than happy to answer any questions (even the same one multiple times when I was deliberating on choices).
I also liked how they were honest and personable. It didn't feel like I was buying from a dealer, they made me feel like I was buying from a friend and that made my decision a lot more reassuring.

Terrible. Dishonest. Rude. This statement might sound silly to some but I usually don't go to the dealerships to get maintenance; these are hard times and dealerships are much more expensive than the mechanic down the road.
I had just bought a mazda3 and wanted to make sure everything was in working order so I decided to bring it down to the dealership to have checked out.
I had them inspect the tires the breaks and everything involved in this. They told me everything was great. 20 days later, I start hearing this sound coming from the front tires. I decided to take the car to Firestone. Firestone carefully inspected the vehicled and proved to me that the pads were at the end of their life, the rotors and the wheel bearing assembly were and had been rusted for a long time.
I called back to complain about the initially assesment given to me by Mazda and the rude receptionist told me "well, how do you know? are you a mechanic?"
Never in my life has anyone answered me in such a condescending manner.
I WOULD NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THEY ARE LESS TRUSTWORTHY THAN THE MECHANIC DOWN FROM YOUR HOUSE. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. AVOID AT ALL COST.
