I wish I could leave a good review because I was extremely excited to purchase my first tractor brand new from John Deere. I was a customer right after the new dealership opened two years ago. When I went in the sales people had no idea about large agricultural equipment and said they did not often deal with it. I purchased a John Deere 5100 M for about $85,000. I also purchased three attachments and other equipment for another $25,000. After purchasing my tractor, it was never delivered. The first payment became due and I had not even received the tractor. John Deere corporate ended up getting involved, canceling the contract and re-issuing a new contract at a lower interest rate. I chalked this up to the dealer being new and inexperienced. Next, I tried to order a set of teeth for my bucket. The sales person ordered the wrong size for my bucket. I have a 72 inch bucket and I ordered 60 inch teeth. It has been over a year that I have been trying to return or exchange this item for the proper size and have not received a straight answer. I dropped my tractor off for service in May and it was completed right away. Apparently they were trying to contact me for three months to pick up my tractor. While I did not receive any phone calls or emails (nor could they show me proof of such) I did receive a letter in the mail stating that I would be prosecuted for theft of service. When I received this letter, I immediately called and made the payment. I was told the tractor would be delivered the next day. It is now one month later and my tractor still has not been delivered. The exchange/return still has not been made. When I talked to corporate, they told me that there was a new general manager, who is very nice and was looking to turn things around. Unfortunately, I did not find him to be very nice or looking to turn things around. He was very combative with me on the phone and not willing to accept any blame. This dealership has made three strikes against me. I am now reaching out to the regional manager, Mike Rolfe, hoping that I can get a little movement. I will not be returning to United Ag of Plainfield. I am in the process of purchasing $60,000 worth of hay attachments from John Deere corporate. They are allowing me to do this without going through the dealership because the dealership is so terrible. Feel free to reach out to John Deere corporate as they often have better deals and are more willing to help.

4 days after I decided to look into John Deere skid steers I had this at my house ready to work. I clicked some buttons on my computer about a 331p because I was fed up with bobcat but was expecting Deere to be slightly out of my price range. Mike Dowd gave me a call the next day with such a good price on the 331 I figured I’d ask about the 333 and 3 days later it was in my front yard with a grapple ready to go. All of my texts/calls/questions were answered promptly and informatively, I would highly recommend doing business with these people! The machine is 110% better than my previous machine in every category and tasks I was struggling with are now effortless.

Had a great experience purchasing our new John Deere rider mower with these guys! Dean Lajoie, our salesperson, was extremely helpful, even when we realized after contacting our purchase that we would require a different mower. He handled it all with grace and a smile and the whole process remained smooth and lines of communication wide open! Christian, in service was great with getting accessories installed quickly and arranging delivery within our crazy schedule and Chris, our delivery guy, was not only happy and friendly, but took the time to show us around our new machine and never made us feel rushed. Honestly, this has been one of the best purchase experiences we’ve ever had! Customer now, for life! Thanks guys!

Very upset. I got my mower dropped off today. I go to mow my lawn and I'm missing the pin to set my mowing deck. I know it was there before because I keep it at the same slot and I never move it. Then I start it up and it won't idle. Finally it idled and then got stuck on full throttle. I just paid $1400 to have this fixed and I still can't mow my lawn. Tire is still flat. So they didn't even notice that. I'm a business owner myself and I would never leave someone in any situation like this. I'm very disappointed. So now if AG does decide to make right on this I have a quarter of my lawn cut and by the time I get the mower back my grass will be taller than me. I wouldn't even left this review if AG had an answering machine or a way to leave a message after hours. So this is the only way to leave a message. Hopefully this is made right.
Update: even more disgusted. Didn't sharpen my blades and if they did they are worse than before. I sent it to you guys with a full tank of gas. After two weeks I got it back the first time and this is now the second time they picked it up and tried to do right, another two weeks. It adds up to a month with both times. Just remember I paid $1400 cash. My tank had less than quarter when I got it back for the second time. I had full tank before they had it. I added brand new gas and it's all water that came to the top. I just paid them to apparently put on a new carburator and I had to send it back for the pin to my mowing deck they lost and a new gasket seal that they didn't put on my new carburator and they also didn't put the spring on for the throttle to my supposedly (new carburator) it's just problem after problem. What is wrong with this company and the people that work there. I don't recommend using this company.

I recently brought my tractor in for a recall on the brakes. I also requested an oil change and a repair to my head light ls due to mouse damage. I spoke to Christian and the mechanic. They were both very courteous and professional. The tractor was delivered back to me quickly. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Completely impressed with the knowledgeable staff at this location, financing was a breeze and Mike who delivered was so patient and took the time to go over everything there was to know about my new mower! I couldn’t be happier with our purchase, and of course loving our new John Deere!!!

Trisha Plemons is a big reason why I will always use United Ag in Plainfield Ct as my go to for buying and servicing my John Deere equipment. She understands how to take care of a customer. She knows the difference between urgent and regular needs. Her answers are accurate and immediate. Plus she is friendly. She’s an excellent service manager.

I just had my tractor serviced. The service managers name was Trish. She was exceptional. She went over and above explained everything to me in detail answered all my questions. I will refer everyone I know to her I can’t think her enough.
