These guys just finished repairing a small store that i frequent. It took them a really long time to finish the repairs and there was random debris sitting around. The workers when they were there moved at a snails pace. Now that they are finally complete with the job it came out like crap. The door was installed on the wrong side, making it akward to open and they used old nasty outlets which looks ridiculous with fresh paint. I know the owners are not happy with the work and the amount of time it took. They were even rude to them, stay away from these guys. Their work sucks!

After a 350 year old oak tree fell on our house doing extensive damage we hired Kapura to help us rebuild. Working with Dean Benoit as our project manager and Joe Canas as our master carpenter they not only rebuilt the areas that were damaged they returned our 100 year old house back to her previous glory. We have received so many compliments on how great it looks and we love all the new features they added for us. I cannot thank them enough for a job well done.

I had a flooding incident in my basement in December 2023, the first major claim on my homeowners insurance. I was upset and overwhelmed, and thank goodness Kapura was the contractor recommended by my insurance company. Everyone from Kapura who worked on my project was professional and thorough and focused on customer satisfaction. Chris Judd led me through the claims process and made sure that I got what I wanted out of the rebuild. Jesse Mockler managed the reconstruction—he and his teams were on time, respectful of my home, and left my basement in a better condition than it was before the flood. I would recommend Kapura to anyone who is looking for a construction contractor—you won’t be sorry.

One of their trucks was weaving in and out of traffic in a school zone near Goodwin , then when cars passed them they beeped and started yelling at other people, they then stop in the middle of the road to get food at the bodega. If that’s who they hire why would you ever use this company.

We worked with Chris J (Estimator) and Jesse M (Project Manager) to recover from the aftermath of our house fire. Chris and Jesse were great at taking us through the process so that we knew what to expect. They did everything to simplify and expedite the recovery /reconstruction. In addition, the team folks doing the work were very helpful and professional. Thanks to Bill and crew (expert painting), Roman (many talents), and so many others. Jesse did an excellent job coordinating all the activities and keeping us well informed. Many thanks, highly recommended.

I can’t say enough thanks to Chris Judd and Jesse, they two amazing guys when I say amazing I mean amazing!! They both went above and beyond to help us get our house back together and even better after the water damage that was done to our home. I highly recommend Kapura General Contractors to anyone who has water damage, fire and any other damage to your home . Once again thanks Chris and Jesse .

if I can give them a zero I would these people are scammers and crooks if you hire them it will be the biggest mistake of your life cause when they mess up bad and can't scam any more money out your insurance company they will go after you they will try to put a lean on your house and foreclose on your property cause they can't scam your insurance policy out of more money if you hire them it will be the biggest mistake of your life after getting almost 310k out my policy now they are coming after me and my property saying we still owe them hiring this company is the worse mistake of my life and now I'm hiring a shark lawyer to fight these crooks back save your money and go with someone else

I write this review having lived in the house they built since 2007 after my house burned down and was rebuilt. At the time I was as an early teen (12-13) and had no understanding in the way things worked in this world. Fast forward 10 years later 2017 and I am not a young adult in high school helping out where I can...and can i say it was constant...doors, door knobs, p traps under the sink, the garage door install (the motor is mounted in drywall not a stud causing the weight of the door to be supported by drywall leading it to break several times), leaks in the roof (I can see literal daylight through several holes in the roof from inside the attic). Another major standout is the drywall jobs. Almost every point on the ceiling where two drywall boards meet, the tape is OBVIOUSLY showing.....terrible job in concealment in either prep or the application of the drywall compound....BOTTTOM LINE.........CHECK THE WORK WHILE BEING DONE. To re-establish....I am doing a review in the home I grew up in. Now, throughout the years I'd like to think I have become a jack of all trades (master of none) including running a hardware store...After I got older and took a look back, I realized the house I moved back into after it burned down WAS NOT built to last(in comparison to relative homes built during). I implore you to do your research and heavily weigh the reviews of each business as I am taking my time to review this one... I cannot condemn this company for the work they did (since I was a child during the construction phase), but I can question the quality. Currently I am giving this a VERY generous review of 2 out of 5 stars.. You may ask why I gave this such a low score....Well the answer is simple....cost/benefit analysis....Well.....the amount of replacing broken fixtures and technicians to solve a variety of problems shouldn't exist on a BRAND NEW home. If constantly having a DIY job around the corner then Kapura is for you!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I had water damage in my condo and Mr Kapura took on my project. Jesse, the PM, was a pleasure to work with. He was professional, polite and came through for me. He kept me updated and followed through and kept his word. Thank you Kapura Builders and Jesse; my condo looks amazing. Great work.

I had a condo fire in April of 2023. Since day one, Kapura has been nothing but helpful, kind, and understanding of my situation. They were in constant contact and updating me along the way and made the rebuild process SEAMLESS! My condo was completed in 10 months and they were able to do everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations. They shed light on the situation and even went out of their way to check in with me to see how I was doing. I am so thankful for Kapura!

I would give 0 stars if possible!Don't use them, you will be sorry! Please just listen and don't use them. Worst contractor in Connecticut. Terrible repairs, terrible time wise; over 3 years and many phone calls just to get them out to my home. The work provided was SO horrible that I have a patio leaking into my house, which they "repaired". How did they repair it? Well they reset the stones by my home and caused another drainage problem for erosion which is now destroying the steps on my patio. Oh those stairs were supposed to be painted, not done! I was supposed to have two coats of paint done on the interior, nope, one coat of below grade paint, and not the name brand they gave me a choice from. The wiring they did in my home is especially terrible! Alarms go off for the wired smoke detectors and now I can't use my microwave without the circuit breaker kicking off! Please don't use them. Had Bill come out and look at my house for a complete rebuild after a fire. He told me he'd have someone come out and then send me a quote. Waited 2 weeks for his quote and they called back to say they can't do the job because they're too busy. If that was the case he could have told me when he met with me. Completely wasted my time and now I'm back to square one. Very unprofessional.

Hired kapura for a siding job.they had no idea what they were doing.they would show up for 30 mins then leave some days never showed.the little work they did had to be done over several times because it did not pass inspection.house was left without siding rain storm after rain storm.there was no supervisor for several months before I finally got a hold of the biggest douchebag ever bill kapura.the super tells me he was unaware of this job that he was in Disney World this whole time!! this job took over a year to side a 1000 sq ft house.how does this place stay in business? They did a horrible job.I had to have My son put siding back on because the siding was coming off.what a nightmare this co. Is

First I'd like to add this as a family-owned business and they are awesome people. I have hired Kapura for several jobs at my house. From a full kitchen remodel to most recently repairing my main waterpipe into my house. What's most impressive is their employees treat your home as if it's their own. There's absolutely no damage to my front yard after my main water line was repaired. That is incredibly remarkable! The Avon Land Trust has a collapsed cabin on one of our properties that was ugly and represented a potential safety hazard. We contacted Kapura to perform the demolition work, and remove the cabin debris and fill the crawl space level with the surrounding grounds, but leave the river stone chimney standing. We also asked them to give us a price on spreading a layer of wood chips so that we could make a nice picnic area. Dean Kapura met with us on site, and is good people. The price they gave us was amazingly reasonable, and the work they performed was exemplary! We had a civil engineer join our board recently and when he visited the site he was very impressed. We have also had neighbors comment to us how nice it looks now. We are hoping to hire Kapura for further work, and highly recommend them. They turned a pigs ear into a wild purse for us, at a great price. We HIGHLY recommend them!
