“We buy lamb there and Bulgarian sheep cheese. The lamb is excellent and very fresh. We have bought legs and shoulders. Lamb is young, so we usually buy a pair of shoulders. Butcher on site. Price and flavor better that the place we used to go.”

I remember an older lady named Ann that used to work there that worked at the old Cheshire iga she knew my mom Dawn voos who died in February. She used to give kids coins so they could get a gumball. Mr John and Ms Betsy I'll be moving back to Connecticut next year and will come see your new store my friends be blessed”

If you have questions you’re not rushed or made to feel like you’re a number or price tag! There is no delivery but well worth the sacrifice in my opinion (no I don’t drive) if you aren’t happy where you are!”

“Delicious and welcoming. This has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots whenever I’m in the area. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a grinder with tater tots is amazing, and stopping in for empanadas, pastelitos, or fresh pernil always hits the spot after a long day.
The place is clean and convenient. They also carry plenty of market essentials for home like canned goods, cereal, milk, eggs, bread, and other everyday items. I often sit in the back, which is nicely decorated, and just enjoy my food.
I’m always greeted by the friendly staff, and you can truly feel that it’s a family-run business. The food tastes like my grandmother made it. Thank you for always taking such good care of me!”

“I had a truly wonderful experience @ GMI this afternoon. I was in and out with my list within 30 minutes. I couldn't have done it without Marta's expertise and navigation of the warehouse. Their stockers shift ended but they stayed to help me gather my order and even load up my truck. They were very kind and did not make me feel like I was a bother to them.”
“Walsh’s is such a gem! I love that’s it’s a small, family owned market. I live minutes away so I shop here frequently. The store is very clean & all of the staff that I’ve encountered are friendly and helpful. I have not had any issues with any of there products or produce. They have a ton of grab and go items and deli makes some of the best grinders I’ve had in a while so that’s a plus too!”

“Clean store and friendly staff! The staff go above and beyond in terms of friendliness. The store itself is large and well organized. I am giving 4/5 stars because the store does not have a gluten free section like other locations (specifically the Big Y in West Hartford). While they have gluten free tags next to the prices, there’s not one spot where gluten free stuff is kept. It makes it more difficult and time consuming to shop. After speaking with a staff member, it seemed to be a common request customers had. I am hopeful the store will create a gluten free section (even a small one) as it is incredibly helpful for people who have celiac/ gluten allergy/ intolerance.”

“I have seen a lot of 1 and 2 stars For different reasons. Rude staff displays etc. I gave them 5 stars because I went to stew Leonard’s and I was not able to find the things I needed. And selection of items was poor and very high priced. Yes prices are high but so every thing is these days. Price chopper had lots of options for one item. I found everything I needed. This will be my go to super market from now on. Let’s face it. If people stop going then it will go away. Then the convenience of a shopping experience will too. My advice is to continue shopping at price chopper. And if u have a problem seek out the manger instead of giving the whole store a one star review. It’s easy to find fault so let’s seek out the positive .”
