Great customer service by a lovely employee who greeted me as I walked in a last week. I asked a question regarding face powder and she helped me pick the right one for my skin color/shade match. Also I asked her a question about a newer Urban Decay foundation that I bought at different store and how it was separating on my face. Your advice to not use any primer worked wonderfully the foundation and powder looked perfect. Thank you very much I had a wedding to go to the next day and my makeup looked great!

I walked into Ulta yesterday excited to shop, but the experience left a bad taste. One of the associates greeted me right away — which I appreciated — but the other, Roxy, completely ignored me. It wasn’t subtle either; the girl who did greet me even asked Roxy why she didn’t say hello. That moment made it clear that her lack of acknowledgment wasn’t just a slip — it felt intentional and dismissive. As a paying customer, I expect basic courtesy, and being ignored right at the door is unacceptable. Ulta is a place I normally enjoy visiting, but this type of energy at the front sets the wrong tone. I hope management addresses this because it’s not a good look.

Officially done going to this Ulta. They are always out of Kleenex and supplies to wipe makeup off or sanitize the makeup when testing. It is always understaffed which isn't a problem bc I don't like much help anyway but then I ordered online for pickup and parked in the designated curbside pickup spot and checked in online with my order and no one ever brought it out, waited over 20 min (wasted my time) so just left and won't be picking up the order or going back. The manufacturers usually have better discounts and prices than Ulta anyway.

I needed an updo for a wedding. The day before they told me “the system” made an error and they couldn’t take me. After some back and forth they offered to move my appointment to 3:30 and finally gave me back my original appointment time of 12. I arrived at 12:10 the associate did not even introduce herself to me and I could tell she did not want to be doing my hair and was an Inconvenience to her. She gaslit me into thinking the hair looked nice and it looked nothing like the inspo video I showed her. You can be the judge if this is a good updo. I went home in tears and had to redo my entire hair and was late.

My daughter's Sweet 16 was last weekend and I wanted her to feel pampered so we set an appointment for hair and an appointment for makeup at Ulta in Plainville. Jenna for hair was very nice and accommodating and got my daughter's hair to exactly how she wanted it!
Anthony with makeup was AMAZING. My daughter said she felt like a princess and he went above and beyond with getting her all glammed up for her party! I would highly recommend both Jenna and Anthony and really hope Anthony is still around so I can schedule appointments in the future for both makeup application and makeup lessons!! Amazing experience all around!

Karen first did my hair 10 years ago, and from then on she’s been my only Hairdresser I’ve seen. She has done some incredible things with my hair. She is upbeat and loves her job. Always a fun session.

Love Karen , She’s my favorite hairstylist I always go to her every time I get my hair done she always does a great job on my hair, As a bi racial female I have textured hair and she never messes it up. I’ve been going to her for a few years now and wouldn’t change hairstylist.

MY rating is due to my hair dresser Karen M.! She has now been doing my for over 10 years, and that's after going to the same stylist since befote high school. She knows how to handle and cut my fine hair perfectly and I get so many compliments on my color. Even when I moved out of the area, I still make the hour drive every 6-8 weeks to see her
Anyone looking for a hair dresser/stylist I send them to her. With spring around the corner I'll be making a visit to her soon.

The hair stylist that has done my hair three times now, has made me nothing but self conscious and cost me near $300 each time. I won’t be going back. Poor customer treatment.I hate going to pay for a service only to be treated like I am the problem and I am an inconvenience to my stylist, who moved my appointment time a whole hour behind what I scheduled! Karen said “she did not have time” which I scheduled months in advance. Very upset by the disorganization and poor customer treatment.

I went in to buy new skincare products because I was out and didn't like what I previously bought. Skye, the skincare specialist, helped me and was INSANELY knowledgeable about every skincare issue I have--endocrine acne, combo T-zone, gluten reactions, sensitive, etc. She directed me to a line I would have never tried and products I would have never picked, told me about chemicals and production facts I would have never considered, and I ended up spending more than I would have. It's been a week of using them AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER. Skye helped give me new skin. I will absolutely be back to try more from the new line (Peach & Lily), but will be calling first to see if Skye is there.

I have been a frequent shopper at this location, but after my recent experience, I will be visiting a different Ulta in the future. The staff’s attitudes were disappointing! It felt as though I was inconveniencing them by simply asking for assistance in locating a product. Additionally, being followed around the store was both uncomfortable and unnecessary. This location once had a much better team, and I would suggest providing the current staff with coaching on how to deliver a more positive and respectful customer experience. As a loyal customer who spends on premium products, I expect better treatment.
