This Business is a JOKE my Girlfriend make a appointment for a check up with our Dog and the doctor Alexandra Prescia didnt explain anything about what is going on with the dog, but was quick to charge her $666. On top of that I tried calling to spoke to a supervisor or owner, they had me on hold for 30 min. I could only imagine how many more Individuals they done did this too. I will get my point accross for those individuals who didnt have the courage to say something this is not right at all. Please stay away from this business save your money and energy. I'm not the first person to meantion this matter as well. I will be getting on contact with the BBB and see if my attorney can assist me with this issue.

This office is an absolute headache of an office to deal with. They're unorganized and take no responsibility for their lack of follow through. They're response is always "we're low on staff," which is not my problem. My advice to this VCA, get your act together. My advice to customers or prospectives, go elsewhere if you want to avoid a complete mess.

Dr. Roa at the Plainville Ct facility is the best. You can tell that she really cares about the health of my dog, Max. Her assistants are very friendly,and you can tell they love working with Max. I recommend that if you have a pet you love dearly and he or she needs to see a vet, please go to the VCA in Plainville CT.

Lola was very special to us and you made this heart-wrenching experience a little more bearable with the grace, humility and love you shared with us. Customer service is great. And they are fantastic with our pups. That said, prices are way too high and leaves me wondering if I should find a new vet just to save some money. Either way, you can be sure that your pet is being taken great care of, which is the most important thing at the end of the day.

My cat was extremely critical when I brought him in. Dr. Uman and her staff went above and beyond to save his life. He was there 6 days and everyone was amazing. Thanks to VCA my cat is home now and doing great. Excellent!

Went for an annual exam for both my dogs and they seemed to love the doctor and so far we've had no issues!

I am disappointed in the treatment by the staff here. I have been going to VCA Old Canal since we first brought my pet home. She is almost three years old and we have had a few small issues in the past, but nothing compared to the poor experience we experienced recently. The technicians and vets are not communicating with their patients properly and it is very evident. We needed to get our dog vaccines that she was overdue for, yet she was scheduled for an “urgent care appointment” (that was never supposed to be one in the first place). Keep in mind that we have been getting her vaccines here for the time we’ve had her, and they were always covered by the care plan because they were always scheduled with the appropriate person. When we went in for another appointment two weeks from then with a different doctor so she could get the series of vaccinations, my only experience with the vet/director Dr. Green was very unprofessional. I expressed my concern about how we didn’t receive accurate information and how we were disappointed with the care provided by the previous tech, and she immediately started disregarding my points/ began defending her care team by saying that are all skilled with years of education. She rudely interrupted me by telling me to keep our conversation “professional” when all I was stating was the issue that we had with the previous technician. She ended our conversation by refusing care and telling us to find another location. While I completely respect her decision and the dedication it takes to be in this line of work, I believe it is so important that they begin to listen to their patient’s concerns and improve quality of customer service is improved. From my perspective, based on the way Dr. Green handled the situation it appears that they are not open to criticism and must improve their customer service skills as a company. All they want out of their customers is the money, even if their customers try to respectfully voice their concerns. As a customer of 2+ years, it is saddening that we must switch locations and are left with a pet overdue on several exams+vaccinations due to the unprofessionalism and overall lack of compassion by this one provider. I would’ve loved to continue receiving care with Dr. Cesana as he was phenomenal with our pet, but it’s very disappointing to see the other staff we trusted completely disregard our concerns, leading us to seek another vet.

My elderly cat was treated very well. She was given medication to help her with her ailments. The staff was attentive and honest with the recommendations. My cat may not have much time, but she did improve after the visit. I've been here before for my other cat and they were great with him. Thank you VCA.

The staff is really great very nice people. No five stars more for the way animal care has gone. Unnecessary testing ie heartworm when dog has been given continuous heart worm medication there is no indication to test. You care about your pet and they along with the medication manufacturers take advantage of that.

They are awesome! I love this place. The only thing is that if you have a medical plan with them and you don’t finish paying for it, then it goes to collections and they won’t see your animal until you pay the rest of the plan. So just keep that in mind

I can not speak highly enough of the staff and their care for my fur baby. They were so compassionate & professional. The hospital is extremely clean. The vet tech asked if she could show the staff my fur baby because she's so cute. They worked hard to get me an appointment quickly despite being a new patient. When I arrived, the two vet tech-s who spoke to me the day prior, rushed to greet me because they were thinking of my fur baby & her health because she has heart disease. The vet was so detailed and compassionate. We are so greatful to the staff and can't thank them enough! THANK YOU FOR HELPING SAVING MY FUR BABY!!!!!!! They really care and do think of the animals ❤️ They even researched a food plan!
