“I am equidistant to this location and another one but I do prefer shopping at the one in Prospect. They have a good selection of food and goods. I use their app to load coupons and then just plug in my phone # at the register. The line usually isn't very long but even when it is it does move quickly which makes it easy if you just need to run in for one or two items. The sales people are helpful.”

“This is hands down the absolute best Dollar General. It's always perfectly clean! The decor isles are always beautifuly staged with very trendy items. Each isle is always stacked with it's intended items. I always get my dog and cat food/treats. I stock up on frozen foods, candy, snacks, and all my toiletries and cleaning supplies..
I also love to browse the decor isles. I often snag an item or two to help decorate for the seasons. I get a lot of planters there and garden decor. They just have really nice things for even nicer prices.
The manager and day staff are great. Super friendly. They remember they're regulars. Night staff is nice too, but not as personable as day shift employees. I feel very lucky to live right up the road, because after discovering this location, I WILL NOT go to any other DG.”
“This place has gotten substantially better. Staff is helpful and friendly. It has also stepped up in cleaning the store. Still a bit cluttered, but it is way better than a few months ago. Went on a Sunday, and even though there was a good number of customers, the checkout was very quick because they added people as soon as they were able.”

“I do like coming here, I’ve never had a bad experience and it’s very convenient for back to school shopping. Though, it is ALWAYS dirty. (Though this was cleaner than many of the other dollar trees I’ve been to!) But honestly, that’s not really a bother for me. If it is for you, then like why are you at a Dollar tree? That’s like notoriously what they are. Totally recommend! Super nice and helpful staff.”
“There's always a long line with a single cashier getting slammed. Unfair to the people who work there. I usually go here for wrapping paper/gift bags, cookie bags at the holidays for gifting ? bags of cookies at school/work/friends/family.”

“They never have the sale items in inventory!!!!! Never give rain checks for the sale items and the place is very disorganized!! They take what is on sale from one holiday to the next. If rain check is given. It’s verbal and never given as promised. Disorganized organization Good luck !!”

Everything I wanted was in stock and shopping on a Saturday is the only way to go here. With a five dollars off coupon and an additional 3 dollar coupon for Pepsi, that was already on sale at three for eleven dollars, I paid about twenty five Cena can (including deposit) for a named brand soda”

Disposable products run out very quickly compared to others.
Some products are out of place, I picked up some things in the 1.25 section but at the checkout the prices were different.”

“I’ve been to many Dollar Trees in the area. They are usually the same.Close out products and lots of their own brand items.The past 2 years I have noticed that they are selling SOME Holiday decor items comparable to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for a fraction of the cost (usually $1.25 - although in some in some of the posher communities they have small sections called Dollar Tree Plus of which items can cost up to $5).The store in Cheshire is definitely one of the cleaner stores and the cashier there are severely overworked.Each and EVERY time I go there, they only have one cashier with the line 6-15 deep with her going on the overhead speaker between customers saying “Back up” with a pleading and hopeful look on her face.The ladies (sorry boys I have never seen a male at this location…probably accounts for the tidiness of the location) all seem to be very helpful - but as l mentioned the employees who work the register are visibly frustrated.Now that I live in Cheshire, I will probably not be going to the other locations as much…My opinion of the other local stores-Wallingford - 4/5North Haven - 4/5Hamden - 2/5Meriden 2/5”

“People never cease to amaze me. I’m in a sling from should surgery and shopped for some items and paid. The sweet young man that works there took all my bags and said he was taking them to my car for me! I told him it would be ok and he said no way he’s got it. He put everything in my car so carefully and was so friendly. I haven’t gotten service like that in forever.”
