I dont even live in Portland, and I come out here to enjoy the PHENOMENAL customer service and care that is displayed by both store associates and the pharmacy is run like a well-oiled machine, with equally Phenomenal people behind the counter there as well. The store is ALWAYS clean, and fully stocked; cant say enough about how wonderful this location is!! Whoever trained this store's employees should take a trip to the middletown location, where the customer service is non existent and the pharmacy is a crap-show. Portland Walgreens is AMAZING!!!! FULL STOP!!!

This is by far the best pharmaceutical staff in CT!! They all have made my life much easier with their work ethic and loads of knowledge. Thank you for saving me so much time throughout the years.

I only come here because my local Walgreens closed and they carry the prescriptions I need. No drive thru pharmacy window so you have to go inside. Staff could be more pleasant. Last time I went there was a strange person sitting on the sidewalk outside the door making me feel uncomfortable. The vibe is a little ghetto with this one. I wouldn’t come here if I didn’t need to.

No matter if you choose the drive thru pharmacy or go inside your waiting an absurd amount of time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Just typical corporate America business. Understaffed

Worst pharmacy ever! They always take so long and a lot of the staff are rude. When my father passed away, my doctor prescribed me more of my anxiety medication but the guy told me that was not a good reason. Can't believe he did that. Disgusting!

The pharmacy and store staff is AMAZING, in fact such so, even though i live in middletown, i go here instead!!! Stay away from the Walgreens pharmacy in middletown! They are the worst! But NOT PORTLANDS!! WONDERFUL, NICE STAFF, always stocked up and NEVER an issue with my monthly scripts, and if there is, THEY do whatever they can to help! Instead of acting like youre asking too much from them. Highly recommended!

The new middle age pharmacist working on 11/9/23 is completely rude and unprofessional. ( not Paul who’s attentive or the older man )… if you’re going to be working with the public have some patience , be polite and act like you care about others . This man didn’t introduce himself as someone who was administering me my vaccine let alone hold the door for me before going into the room . Have some manners like the rest of the awesome staff at this location .
