“My son has been attending Building Blocks since he was three months old, and he is now almost two years old. I was initially nervous about sending him to daycare, but I can say confidently that this was the best decision as we have seen him absolutely thrive here. All of his teachers, without exception, have been so kind and attentive. They actively engage with the children and do all sorts of fun and educational activities. The facility itself is very clean and nice with a large fenced-in playground area outside. We also appreciate the good communication from the school. And of course, my son loves Building Blocks and is always excited to see his friends and teachers when we drop him off in the morning!”

“We couldn’t be happier with our infant granddaughter’s daycare. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful and impeccably clean, which gave us peace of mind right away. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff—they are genuinely top-notch. It’s clear they care deeply about the children and consistently go above and beyond in everything they do.
The daycare is incredibly well organized and thoughtfully run, with great communication and attention to detail. They also plan so many fun events throughout the year that bring families together, which really adds to the sense of community.
Even at the infant level, there is a meaningful curriculum in place to support early development, which we truly appreciate. It’s comforting to know she’s not only being cared for, but also learning and growing every day.

“Two of my sons went here years ago, and they absolutely LOVED it. (My son Anthony told us, at 2, his girlfriend was Miss Alicia, his teacher! ?) The directors and staff were always friendly and professional, and the care the children received was wonderful. I knew my children were safe and happy there.The staff set up field trips, activities, and parties for the students, and surprises for the parents, too: I LOVED the professional portraits of both my sons together they unexpectedly sent home! Those portraits are displayed in my home to this day.I came across my son Vincent's "Rainbows Yearbook" the other day, and it reminded me of how much we really loved Discovery Center. Both my sons were well prepared to enter preschool/kindergarten after a few years here. Thank you, Miss Lisa, Miss Marilyn, and everyone at Discovery Center!P.S. We found out my son Vincent was on the autism spectrum when he was 15, many years after his time at Discovery Center. While he was attending preschool there, he never, ever had any problems. They worked with him and his quirks, helped him develop his strengths, and truly made him feel loved ? (That was not always the case as he moved up through grades and schools!) Vincent is now about to graduate high school a year early, and just scored a 34 on the ACT. I know his time at Discovery Center helped him to love school, which helped him to be successful.Discovery Center will take excellent care of your special needs child, even if you're unaware your child has special needs.”

“I moved my son from the early learning experience due to the lack of communication, staff, professionalism, and care for my son. I changed him to the Goddard and it was the best decision I ever made. The owner was always there and not hard to reach at all. The teachers and staff were all amazing it made going to work and leaving my son that much more comforting and assuring knowing that he would be in great hands. If I ever had another child I would bring my child there no questions asked. I highly recommend.”

“My son attended RC for Pre-K 3 and PK4. I have nothing but love and appreciation for Rainbow Center. It truly is a special place. The perfect blend of a home daycare setting with teachers who specialize in educating and caring for kiddos. The teachers at RC have been there for years, with little turnover - that says a lot! I also love that kids are exposed to animals as the center has cats, Guinea pigs, fish, birds and more! The days are structured and it is a perfect balance of kids getting to be kids while also learning and understanding routine.”

“The KLA of Wallingford has been a wonderful school. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a place that is child-centered. They really take each kid from where they are at and guide them as they grow and discover the world around them. They see what the class is interested in and tailor the learning activities to those interests. My child is excited to go to school each day and loves to share what they learned. The school app that we as parents have access to is used to provide daily updates as to what the students are doing throughout their learning day as well as multiple pictures of the kids learning through play and hands on activities. They also spend a lot of time exploring and playing outside in one of the schools outdoor areas. I am grateful my child has had the opportunity to learn and grow in this fun, loving, safe, and supportive environment. I look forward to seeing how my child develops in this next school year.”

“Where can I start....We switched our kids over to Bright & Early a year or so ago, never looked back. We love this early childhood center. Everyone is amazing. The director Kaitlyn and assistant director Jenn are truly special people. They go above and beyond for the families that are enrolled at the center. If every an issue arises, Miss Kaitlyn and Miss Jenn handle with wonderful professionalism and care. They are truly wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about them! The team they have at Bright & early are just as wonderful. Dropping your child off with anyone is hard and weighs heaving on a parent's heart, but this team ensures your worries are at ease. Just a wonderful place!!!”

“This program should only have 5-stars review! The 1 star review from years ago is incredbly misleading to a family looking into this program. This program is the BEST KEPT SECRET in Newington. The teachers are incredible and the sense of community is something so special.

We joined this program without knowing what to expect, and based off of incredible facebook reviews from moms and wow was it amazing. The program surpassed what we were told.

My son goes 3-half days a week and this is our experience:

There is a curricula-based lesson daily, craft to follow, centers, story time, free play, community events like singing for the tree lighting and a firetruck visit, valentines day prom/party and a field trip, among more.

Jessica the coordinator, Ms. Janet/Christina/Milli have created a forever love for school for my 3 year old which I am incredibly grateful for.

The app with daily photos and direct communication brings ease to parents that need it. The flexible pickup and drop off hours takes a weight off of parents who may be running late because of other younger siblings at home.

My only regret was not being able to send him 5 full days a week with what they get out of this program. I am so grateful for this program and cannot wait for my next 2 to attend.

“i can only speak to the last year, with the relatively new director and can’t speak to the relationship between the board and staff/school…just the direct care of staff. our experience at nps has been really great. the teachers are responsive, caring, and fun. my child acclimated quickly and absolutely loves going to school and is thriving, a feat since they were in no previous care outside of home prior to nps. the director has gone out of her way to help me on many occasions and i can’t thank her enough for that. though i only have experience with the preschool, every staff member has been so warm in any interaction. as a former daycare worker in a more subpar school and have worked within many schools in my career, my experience has been really positive with nps and it’s refreshing to say the least.”
