“Kohls in Waterbury has excellent customer service. Their associate are friendly & knowledgeable. I wish people would learn from the associate named Marie. She's a sweetheart ? she's kind & takes the time to listen to the customer. She's a reflection of impeccable customer service!!! She also goes out her way to greet customers even when she's busy checking out the people in front of her. Oh, I can't forget the associate at the Sephora station. I don't know her name, but I tell you...she was friendly & a great SALES PERSON!!!”
“We come to Connecticut frequently to enjoy friends and the wine vineyards. We live in Massachusetts, so we're a good couple of hours away from this unique boutique store, that we just stumbled on in our travels. It's a hidden gem. My wife is always hard on herself and hesitant to try on things that she doesn't think will work for her. In this boutique, the owner and her staff not only helps overcome this self doubt, but has an intimate, friendly and classy environment to support it. With her subtle encouragement my wife tried on a Joseph Ribbkof dress in a size 4 (my wife normally wears a size 6-8)...she looked amazing and confident. She walked out of that store with a new birthday dress and a smile on her face. This store easily could have been located in Boston or NYC and fit right in. The owner has a very fine eye for fashion. We'll be back...it was worth the drive! Thanks again for making my wife feel comfortable and beautiful”

“We happened to be in town visiting friends and decided to go have a bite to eat. We came upon this area which had plenty of restaurants, small businesses and a green. As we walked the area we came across this shop and my girlfriend decided to stop in just to take a look. They had many stylish blouses, dresses and pants. Plenty of options available and the prices were very reasonable. My girlfriend definitely Liked many of the things they had.”
“I've always loved Bob's stores since I found them in Danbury. Haven't been in a Bob's since Danbury closed a few years ago. Now that I'm working in the Waterbury area they are all over the place. Went in just to browse for a few minutes, didn't buy anything today. Lots of great deals going on between clearance and other promotions. They also have their loyalty program which earns your money back. The store itself is a little dated, but still a pleasant experience.”

“For as rundown, as the mall is, this store is still somehow hanging on! The staff do an excellent job at keeping the place clean, keeping the riffraff out, keeping up with their sales and overall just being kind and polite to the customers.
I frequently walk through here to get to the massage place that’s located within the mall. And I cannot help but stop and look through the clearance section, and usually buy something! ? I’m not really wanting to shop full price items, I tend to wait for things to go on sale or clearance and their clearance section is wonderful!
If you need school clothes, they tend to have a wide variety, including uniforms that are appropriate for the Waterbury school system!
My husband also purchased my wedding ring set from JCPenney, thankfully, we opted for the lifetime warranty. As we have had an ongoing situation with one of the diamonds repeatedly falling out, thankfully, JCPenney honors their warranty, fixes it and send it back in a timely manner! I really enjoy shopping at the store!”

“This store is well stocked and well maintained. After a long time away from mass produced clothing at full price, I realized a lot of it was no longer my style. However, I scored a nice button up long sleeves shirt to wear over dresses and tops that I quite liked - also because I got it at about 67% off. I would come back here again but not all the time. I scored a lot more like new finds at the Goodwill close by.”
“I was totally surprised when I saw the other reviews. My experience is so very different than those who gave this store 1 star. First, I would like to say that Carol is very generous and kind. I met her when I attended a fashion show fundraiser for a community organization. I told her that I was looking for a stylist, and she immediately said that she would be happy to help me. Carol, and the other 2 women that work for her, were extremely helpful, as were the other customers. This is not your typical store. There was actual camaraderie amongst everyone in the store. Everyone supported one another. Opinions were honest and uplifting, whether it was Carol, her staff, or the other customers. In appreciation for the large purchase that I made, Carol offered me a free item. When I asked if I could donate it to an animal rescue, for use in a fundraiser, she told me that she would give me a second item, so that I could donate one and keep the other. The clothing line at Carol's Creations is very unique. You will not find mass-produced items here, and that is a huge part of the appeal to me. Everything is high quality, and I expect it to last. I am happy that I was able to find clothing that is flattering and different. Anything you purchase here will make you look your best, and you will not look like all of the other people in the room. If you want to find beautiful clothes and friendly, helpful, sales associates, this is the place to go.”

“I love this Plato’s closet! I'm a frequent thrift store shopper and spend a lot of my time in several Platos closets a week. Rick, Sage and Leia are always very kind to me and helpful!
After reading some of the negative reviews all I have to say is, when you go to sell your items, this place is a business. Even if you think your items are in style and trendy doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be profitable for this business. Is it disappointing when you curate bins full of items to then have it turned down? Yes. But there's no reason to then leave negative reviews just because Plato’s closet is just doing what they need to do as a business.
I probably come once or twice a week to this location and to no fail I am always warmly greeted, treated respectfully and have a wonderful experience.”
