Very disappointing experience. Chose this Walgreens based on proximity to my workplace and the desire to get all my immunizations done in a timely fashion. Made an appointment and pre-filled all the forms. The first attendant was clearly new and kept asking other workers questions. The first person who helped him was very nice. The second was a snarky wretch who was uttering complaints in a voice intended to be heard and suggested I might want to “go somewhere else” when I declined the invitation to sit down while waiting. Hmmm. Rude. Also, I’m happy to stand in the designated area if I know where it is, but I was nervous about getting shots (yes even as a grown up!) and didn’t want to sit. The person who administered the shots was lovely…gracious and patient. Two of four were fine. The first was new. But the snarky woman who clearly is fed up with her job needs an attitude adjustment. Or maybe a new job?

GO SOME WHERE ELSE to fill your prescriptions Two weeks they still don't know how to fill my husband diabetic testing kit. Our dr. is also so frustrated with them. plus they have our health insurance information and all of a sudden they can't find it. This Walgreens pharmacy is a very dangerous place. Someone is going to die from there errors.

The staff in the pharmacy is absolutely AWFUL. Besides the miscommunication everywhere, there’s no manager in charge - instead a very sassy and unprepared worker who was filling for the manager who was away. They lost my prescription and showed 0 effort to help whatsoever. No wonder why their ratings are so bad

I am extremely disappointed with the Walgreens in Putnam. They have shown gross incompetence and a complete disregard for their customers' well-being. When I needed my prescription filled, they fabricated a ridiculous excuse about liability, even though they had filled the same prescription the previous month. This unnecessary delay resulted in serious delays that will lead to health issues for me.
I had to file a claim and open a case with their corporate office against the pharmacist. I was then instructed to switch pharmacies, only to discover that Walgreens tried to bill the wrong insurance. They applied a discount and then reversed it, causing the discount code to be rejected numerous times. This added even more stress and hassle to an already frustrating situation.
To resolve the issue, I had to contact my doctor to obtain a new pre-authorization for a different pharmacy. This entire experience has been a nightmare and is a horrible way to treat people in need of medication. It is unacceptable.
My advice to anyone in need of a pharmacy is to go anywhere else in town. Walgreens in Putnam does not deserve your trust or your business.
It's a shame. It's been the pharmacy of choice for my whole family for many years.
Pharmacists hold a vital role in the healthcare system, entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring patients receive the medications they need to maintain their health and well-being. As professionals who have taken an oath to serve their patients with compassion, integrity, and dedication, it is imperative that they uphold these principles in every interaction.
A pharmacist's duty extends beyond simply dispensing medication; it involves providing support, guidance, and empathy to those who are often at their most vulnerable. Patients rely on pharmacists not just for their expertise, but for their humanity. It is essential that pharmacists honor their commitment to care for every patient with the utmost respect, diligence, and concern for their health.
When pharmacists fail to meet these standards, it can lead to serious consequences for patients, eroding trust and causing harm. The pharmacists at this Walgreens location failed to meet any standard of professionalism or care.

Not only have I been shorted multiple meds, but the staff here is all new but also so rude. I've seen some of the way they talk to people as well while I would wait for my medicine that they claimed was filled, said it was filled on the app. But got there and it wasn't even started on yet. I mean get with the program walgreens.. just because your under staffed and where there we need our medicine, can't be waiting around all day or half your night opening hours for our medication.. hello there is a little something called having a life outside of you! Also I canceled one of my meds.. first they billed me many, many times at so many different prices to add to that. But because they didn't process it through my insurance company needless to say.. well they will fill it, only to get money that they don't really need. They also fill medicine when they want too, not how the doctor has written it out or they will dispense it when they feel like it. I do get that not all kinds of medicines aren't in stock, really I do.. but once you get it in.. fill it.. give it out..
Oh yeah stop processing outrageously cost medication to the insurance company.. get paid for it and it's not even ready to be filled..
Oh another thing stop calling in for a refill when that medicine was filled by you and picked up. It kinda ticks off a lot of doctors trust me. I've had many of mine and other people that I know that when you do this.. these doctors get ticked off with the patient cause or how you called it in. Oh yeah it's not just this walgreens I swear it's all.

Wait in the drive-thru FOREVER and the tech says "We have to fill it, just loop around and get back in line" I called twice already and was told it would be ready today. Arghhh

After waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes I hung up. I need to get a prescription filled for my husband that is a compound prescription. That in itself is another story. I have put in a complaint with the main office; not that it will do any good. No one should be made to wait that long. This is a drug store. People need to be able to speak to a human when calling in and not have to wait.

Always very friendly staff. I never have any issues with prescriptions and they have gone out of their way to help. 2023, Just an update again on how helpful the pharmacy staff are. I changed over in the new year to a different medication insurance and they researched and found the information for me as I hadn’t received my card. Def above and beyond.

I needed a refill of Xarelto. I called it in to Walgreens Dayville on 12/29/22. The computer said it would be ready on 12/30. When I arrived, they only had five pills of the 90 prescribed. They could have the rest after New Years. My insurance runs out 12/31. The volunteered to call Walgreens in Putnam. Putnam had the 90 pills but it would take a couple of hours. I got to Putnam at the appointed time and they only had 60 pills! Apparently while they were "filling" my prescription, some one came and bought 30 of their pills. I said I would take the 60 pills. No! If we are not going to fill the prescription, we will only give you 10 pills. You can come back after the new year and get the balance! No amount of talking made and difference to them. They are the final word and your problems really don't matter. I gave them a one star because you can't give them zero.
