About Saugatuck Falls Natural Area
Saugatuck Falls Natural Area is a scenic hiking destination that offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. The trail, which can be up to 3 miles long, is not well-marked in certain areas, so it's advisable to have a map or interactive guide. The hike can be demanding, especially as you approach the falls, and caution is advised due to potential hazards like cavities in the ground and ground wasp nests. The area is beautiful, with a watering hole and rushing water, but swimming, fishing, and hunting are prohibited. Despite the challenges, the hike is enjoyable, especially for experienced hikers, and the falls are a breathtaking sight. Proper footwear is recommended, and dogs are welcome on a leash.

We visited during a drought, so the water was low, but it was a nice hike and the kids still had fun playing in the falls area.
