Love this Bbq place, definitely the best in the area, maybe even the whole state. The ribs are cooked perfectly, I can eat a whole rack, they are cooked perfectly. The brisket is amazing. So tender and flavorful. The pork belly is simply the best. The crackling is out of this world. We love this place, the service is excellent!

Food is awesome!! Best beef rib ever!! Service was ok until the waiter handed me a check without me asking for it, made me seem like they wanted me to out of there and that me and my wife had over stayed our visit. Other than that little bump in the road, the food in this place is hands down the best BBQ in east coast that I have yet to try. Prices are not too crazy but not cheap either. Parking can be a little bit complicated but again all of this is worth it all because of the BbQ. Highly recommend this place! Especially the beef rib!

We waited outside for their BBQ class to wrap up. In hindsight, I would have waited hours longer. I've traveled for BBQ before, KC, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, S Carolina, and Hoodoo ranks with the best. Wow, just wow. Also, my moonshine sangria was phenomenal.

Would love to have done a review but the place is a victim to its own success. 7pm on a Saturday and they were sold out of a few items with a 1 Hr wait. Maybe try again in the future but be here at 4 if your going to travel or risk the time.

Great food as usual - best beef brisket and ribs in the area.BUT, the best, but ever elusive, is the banana cream pie. BBQ and banana cream pudding/pie go hand in hand and must always be eaten together. ?At HooDoo’s it is typically sold out so if they have get it.

Food was very good, not amazing. Sauces were good. Got the smoked prime rib and it was okay but the cut itself was not a great cut of meat and was a bit tough.

Updated 4/12/24: We got the prime rib for a friend’s birthday (take out.) She devoured it in one setting. Absolutely amazing — and came with dipping sauce, a side salad, and fries. The taste is unparalleled and it’s clear Hoo Doo sources the highest quality meats.Cody, Chris, and the team continue to shine!Updated 6/4/2023: I went here with a large group in the private room. We ordered appetizers, platters, and sides. Amazing service. A couple highlights:1) Ribs -- The meat was so tender that it fell right off the bones.2) Wings -- We enjoyed Buffalo and tried RyThai, which was really good.3) Brisket -- This needs no introduction. I'd recommend getting an extra order for the table so everyone isn't fighting over it.4) Dessert -- You need to save room for it every time.We tried to compliment the owners but they were out of town and BBQing to raise money for pediatric cancer (Hogs for a Cause). Go figure.Classy ownership, friendly staff, great food.***Updated 2/24/2022: I had their wings on Super Bowl Sunday. I didn’t think they could get any better but they did. Hoo Doo won Connecticut Magazine’s best BBQ spot...again. I also recently read in 068 magazine that it is the Wilton Fire Chief’s favorite spot. What impresses me most is that, despite winning all the awards and accolades, Hoo Doo is committed to getting better each day.I don’t even get jealous when my Austin friends text me their BBQ pictures, I just drive down the road to Hoo Doo Brown.Original reviewThis is the best BBQ that I have had—better than any BBQ that I have had in Texas. The ownership group is personable and takes pride in their craft. My kids worship the brisket grilled cheese, my wife loves the pork belly, and my favorite are the ribs (both beef and pork.)You have to save room for dessert—specifically the Banana Bourbon Pie—which is handmade each day. They also offer BBQ classes and pig roasts for special events (e.g., pig roasts.)There are so many out-of-state license plates in the parking lot you would think you are at Six Flags/Disney World. It is not a surprise that Hoo Doo has won numerous Food&Wine and CT Magazine awards/recognitions. But despite all its success, through the years, this is still a family place. Come inside, you’ll feel like family, and your stomach will be eternally grateful to you but angry that you did not come sooner. You won’t be able to eat other BBQ again.

Spoiled northeasterners! Do you know how LUCKY you are to have a legit BBQ joint nearby?!The brisket melted in my mouth like butter. The sausage exploded with flavor. The pulled pork... the turkey... all of the meat was tender, flavorful, seasoned with deliciousness and well... you get the idea. The sides, too! Do yourself a favor and get the interstellar potatoes (trust me, you'll thank me later)Food is one thing, now let's talk service. The staff is kind and attentive. Food was served quickly. And you can really tell that everyone just enjoys their job.We also snagged a t-shirt before we left #Hogzilla
