Was there for an arts and craft activity, did not visit the tavern museum. The grounds and facility are very nice; from what I was told this seems like an interesting place to check out.

If you are traveling to Western Connecticut and want to go on a trip through time, you must visit the Keeler Tavern Museum in Ridgefield, CT and take the tour. You start in the oldest room of the house, which was built in the early 1700s, and make your way through the house, learning all about the proprietors and life at that time, until you end up in a beautiful room that was built in the early 1900s. John was our tour guide and he is an exceptional storyteller. He will transport you back to that time with his stories and visual cues and props, including telling you about a Revolutionary War battle that was fought there. It's a must see for anyone interested in learning about early life in New England.

We had our July wedding at Keeler Tavern and were so happy with our choice. We stumbled upon this gem after two years of living within CT. The garden was absolutely stunning. Maryann was amazing throughout our process and every staff member that was apart of our day were so sweet. Our family and guests had such great compliments. We are so thankful and appreciative the rain even held out for our day and were able to enjoy the garden for our ceremony. We would definitely come back to tour the museum as our guests were so interested and we've never been! This lovely gem does not disappoint. Thank you to the amazing Keeler team for having us for our wedding!

After the initial tour, my wife and I just knew that we would hold our wedding at Keeler Tavern. The garden swept us off our feet! Mary Ann, the Director of Private Events & Rentals, proved helpful and accessible throughout the lead-up by answering questions about furniture, sending reminders for contracts, and even offering recommendations on rental companies. One element to be aware of is that Keeler has a tent for the upper terrace in case of rain but does not have the side panels you need to shield guests and vendors. My wife and I had to perform some last-minute shopping for those, so the extra protection is good to secure nice and early. Nevertheless, once we arrived at the big day, the on-site coordinator and parking attendant were kind and supportive to us, our vendors, and our guests from start to finish. Despite some morning storms, the garden and venue gave us a gorgeous backdrop for our photos and the entire celebration. Thank you, Team Keeler!

80+ person garden wedding - this is the place to have it. And think of booking the Fountain Inn next door for sleeping, hosting rehearsal event, bride dressing activity... Your wedding guests will love the day, you'll love the venue and the pictures are the best. Hosted wedding in June 2022

All museums should be like the Keeler! Having been to many small museums, I frankly was not expecting much. But I was blown away!Love the incorporation of different perspectives of Ramapo, African Americans and women. John was the best tour guide ever! He was animated and made us appreciate the history more with his story telling and props. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Kudos! Highly recommend this Museum and tour. Thought provoking and made me curious, which is what one hopes for in a museum. Make reservations for the tour online, as they are small capacity. Garden is pretty and used for weddings. Kids will find it interesting.

Beautiful venue! I had my wedding there and it didn't disappoint. The grounds are gorgeous and very well lit at night. It was very affordable and offered plenty of space both inside and out for our guests and vendors. It was intimate and very classy. The coordinator was also incredibly helpful and accommodating. Even if you don't have your event here, you should check out the grounds and museum. The only reason I didn't rate this place 5 stars is because they had they awful carpets everywhere that people kept tripping on all night but overall a wonderful experience.

My husband and I got married there this past September, and Mary Ann was absolutely wonderful during the entire planning process. She was extremely accommodating during a few tricky times leading up to the big day, and she made sure that everything at the venue ran perfectly. All of our guests were thrilled with beautiful beautiful garden, and had a great time. That is in huge part due to the ease of planning of our wedding.
