doing my part in making sure this store is known for the scam it is. i used to work here, got very rudely sent upstairs and yelled at by some old lady for sitting down at the register(????). apparently it's not allowed bc it's unfriendly towards customers but i, as a customer, guarantee they don't gaf
not to mention the prices are terrible as well. you'll spend less on the extra gas going to danbury than for the extra prices they slap on every necessary grocery ever

So frustrating that this is the only large grocery store in town. Prices are exorbitant, there is usually only one express checkout lane open, and everyone else has to go to self check out. Self check out is a total nightmare… Every third item you need customer service to come over and help you. Every time I leave here I am completely frustrated and avoid this store the majority of the time.

Marty the robot is the only thing keeping me going. The produce is gotten worse and they're always out of stuff. Also it's insane to me how stop and shop is basically ahead of all other groceries stores with technology. Like they've had the scanner forever and their still one of my favorite things to use. It makes it so much easier to track what you're actually spending as well with making check out easier.

Never in my life have I dealt with such rudeness. I come into customer service since the location near my home is closed. The lady proceeds to accuse me of going to multiple locations trying to take money for bottle deposits. I stay quiet and then she proceeds to tell me that I have to stop going store to store. She had no right to question what I was doing, and if the amount was an issue, she could’ve said something to begin with. I suggest customer service employees be trained better in managing their anger to provide better service to their customers, and their first lesson should be to stop accusing their customers of being a “thief” to get more money. And to the customer who was standing trying to buy lottery tickets, she said “you have to wait. I don’t know why you can’t go somewhere else” once she realized that customer didn’t speak perfect english. The treatment I received today should not go unnoticed or unpunished. Especially when I spoke to the employee with a smile on my face and pure respect. If you can’t handle a line of customers, then maybe you shouldn’t be working customer service.

absolutely the worst , employees miserable,poorly run store , they put stuff for sale that has already turned bad..ridiculous pricing on some items,like $1.99 for a tiny bunch of scallions.

Nice, clean, and well stocked Stop & Shop. And they even had 4 checkout people working midday on a Wednesday, instead of maybe 1 and pushing customers to self-check. Overall, it was a good shopping experience.

This store is terrible. The prices are Much higher than surrounding stores in other towns. People seem to only go here for small shopping because of high prices. This leads the store to not stock the shelves so much. They promote the self checkout too much and when you have a problem, they are not polite and are not helpful. The cashiers are only 1 or 2 and work the 12 or 20 items or less lines. The town should try to talk to another supermarket to come to town and create competition. Everyone that has a family to buy for goes out of town for food. It really is ridiculous.
