We have some older pieces that wear well and the new ones are just as high quality. Well done!

What great news! It must be 12-13 years ago that I learned of the closure and I was very sad. Congratulations and much success to the "new" ownership.

There are many places where you can find used Hitchcock furniture in excellent condition. I urge you to buy these classic pieces from antique dealers, rather than buying from the company that now produces new Hitchcock furniture. My experience with them was incredibly frustrating, they were exceptionally rude, and they did not deliver as agreed. I ordered one table and five chairs in February 2021. I was told at the time that four of the chairs were a special order that could not be cancelled, I paid for half of the order up front, and I was told that the full order would be complete in six weeks. After six MONTHS, I had not heard a word from the company, and I tried to cancel the order. They promised that they would have the order finished in 2 weeks, and would waive shipping costs. After another 6 weeks, I again tried to cancel the order, but was told that it was complete and I could not cancel. I offered to LET THEM KEEP a significant portion of the deposit, and cancel the whole order, and they refused (in a unprofessional and extremely rude way). After I realized that I had only agreed not to cancel 4 of the chairs (all of which had been paid for for 8 MONTHS), I told them that I was canceling the table and would take the chairs. I owed them a small amount of money for the fifth chair, which I paid. After not hearing from them for weeks, again, I was asked to provide the same amount of money for the fifth chair. I had to pull up my credit card statement to prove that I had already paid that money. They never even responded to my email with proof of payment, but did send the chairs. When I received the chairs, I realized that they had the wrong stain (we agreed to Harvest stain, chairs were done in Riverton). I emailed to state that they were in the wrong stain, but that I would accept them, and I again never heard back. Bottom line: They promised an order in 6 weeks, took 8 months, were rude about a partial cancellation, tried to get me to pay them twice, and got the order wrong. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

My parents bought a dining room table and six chairs here around 1989. It was used constantly for regular family meals, large dinner parties, potlucks, we did homework on it, did art projects on it, etc. until 2018 when they downsized and I put it in my then apartment for my family. It moved a few towns over with us to our new house. We are still eating at it. My daughter painted part of the chair back with acrylic paint in hot pink. I sanded it off and it’s basically unnoticeable. We have friends over, place huge Amazon packages on the table, eat all meals there, etc. We are just now thinking of getting a new one after one chair rung broke (our damage and mishandling 100%) and our small kitchen/dining room is basically built for a rectangular style table. We can’t decide what to buy. We should probably just drive to CT and purchase a new set here!

My husband and I loved this store. We purchased several pieces in addition to chairs which have all held up very well. Real quality, beautiful furniture at reasonable prices. Now have an antique Hitchcock table that was purchased at the Brimfield Fair and would like to get it refinished. So happy to learn that the store has re-opened!

Bought a rocking chair in 1979. Then four dining room chairs and a drop leaf dining room table in 1986 and a corner hutch in 1988. Love them all.

Fine quality for one of a kind, locally crafted furniture Went to the store and barn in the original buildings, received great service and a tour of the downstairs showroom. Ordered 2 bookcases to be built and ended up also buying a coat rack. When I picked up the bookcases a few weeks later, I got a tour of the work area and the guys helped me load them into the back of my SUV. Great group of people, friendly and inviting. Plenty of things to do and see and eat in the area, a very scenic destination for a nice day trip.

Absolutely the best furniture ever. Can't leave there without buying something. They had closed down some time back for a while, but they are open again. Nice place.
