Booked a room and this Hotel refused to give us our room. Never received a refund. Total scammers making free money off others.. These people should not be allowed to run a hotel.. Refund would be nice...not services was rendered..

Amazing place to call home! Family owned and operated, very clean, and quiet. It's within walking distance of so many shopping centers and restaurants yet is set so far back from the main road that you forget about all the hustle and bustle of the Silas Deane Highway. This is such a gem! I highly recommend this quaint extended stay motel. The rooms have balconies, the Wifi and cable work better than any of the other local motels I have tried in the area, and there is even a resident bunny rabbit living outside that I get to see every night.

Business Stay -- Room smelled of smoke, like two other reviewers, I was told this was the only available room (a smoking room, even tho, non smoking was reserved).Bugs were visible, the hotel itself was not clean. Ultimately, I did not feel comfortable staying here and made new accommodations.

Lots of availability. It was so dumpy, my wife made us leave and abandon the $206.00 spent and pack back up, continue to drive until we found a better hotel. Just smelly. It did have a balcony. The room was supposed to be non-smoking - but I doubt any of the rooms were non-smoking.

I found the HomeSpring Inn & Suites on Hotels.com. The photos and description were pretty good. Prices were good too, so I booked 2 nights here in May 2022.I read that this hotel property is family owned on Hotels.com, which is definitely way nicer to support than that of a corporate zeal. It helps to support local business where you can find it. With that said, I booked a room with a king sized bed a couple of months before arrival. Upon arrival in an Uber from the Noah Webster house museum, I arrived here for my 2 night stay in Rocky Hill area in Hartford, CT. First impression was that it's not far from fancy. It's an Inn, like in its name. While it provides the basic roof over my head and safety at an affordable price. The property offers 47 guest rooms and I had occupied one with a king bed. One caveat though, the property was basically in the back lot of businesses after exiting out of Salas Deane Highway. Might need to either find your way back there if driving yourself or tell your Uber/Lyft driver, since the driving directions isn't specific anyways. The complex is fairly small with two buildings attached to each other. The lobby side and the guest room side and I think the guest room side has two stories. My stay here was uneventful and got a good night's rest both nights, which was the basic plan for my vacation in Rock Hill, Hartford. The overall experience here at the HomeSpring Inn and Suites in Rocky Hill, Hartford, CT was good, casual, felt like being at home, and yet decent. It was aforementioned before far from your standard Hyatt and Hilton's but a little better than Motel 6, especially when it's in a quiet area. It's priced right to meet any budget, which is why I decided to stay here and within range of the Goodwin Golf course, where I needed to be during the time of my stay in Hartford. For the most part though, my stay was good. The check in was friendly and quick. The same went for the check out process as well. The HomeSpring Inn and suites is one of those places where you just get a room with basics and no frills. You spend more for the frills, which is not what I usually go for these days, just basic comfort at a reasonable price. Frills come with the price tag and I didn't want to pay extra. Although this hotel property doesn't provide complimentary breakfast like many of the other brands does, there are a few choices for food in the immediate area, but if you want something specific, consult the front desk or Yelp for your favorites. For the most part though, my stay is dependent on the how much or how little of the quality of sleep during my stay and how comfortable the bed was. I would say that it was between a 7-8 of 10 possible score. It was good and decent at the same time. I did enjoy the ambiance of the room and the bathroom was good too.The HomeSpring inn and suites is located at 1499 Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill, Hartford, CT. They accept major credit cards, although not certain about cash. I booked thru Hotels.com, so upon check in, they didn't ask for a credit card, they just charged the credit card I had on file with hotels.com and I got an email about the charge 6 hrs after check in, which I found that a little bit odd but okay. As far as parking goes, the HomeSpring Inn and suites boasts a generous parking area for anyone and everyone who wishes to stay here. Not sure about the Hartford's public transportation system, although I know they have one, since I saw a few public buses go up and down Silas Deane highway while walking to and from dinner to the hotel. I used Uber to get here and leave after my stay, so I did not rent a car this trip. Best bet would be to use google to get the best info and come here, if you need a place to stay and don't mind it being in a suburban area rather than in downtown Hartford or any other downtown urban area. It's basic and comfortable at an affordable price. That's ace in my book. Hope that's the case for you. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.5 stars for t

Cozy, homey, clean, quiet, spacious rooms. Affordable price. Safe area with (walking distance) food in the parking lot and a doggy daycare available on-site. Convenient vending machines that take cards and actually work. Plenty of exits and the guests were mostly spread apart, which is great because we came down with a cold with all of the rain and it made it easy to stay away from others. The grass is easily accessible for pets, with glass sliding doors on each room. That was my favorite feature as I like to avoid crowds and I didn't really have to do much to ensure my pet was free to use the bathroom at any hour (great if you are a female and worry about safety). It needs a little updating but for the price, it was perfect for our family with kiddo and pup while my husband worked. I was able to homeschool and work without any issues on the WiFi. Lots of eateries nearby with great customer service. The people at the front desk made the check-in process simple, as well as the rebooking process and updating our keys. They didn't make any sort of hassle or fuss if we had to do it over the phone. The cleaning staff was polite and helpful, always asking if we needed anything and offering clean linens. They don't clean daily if you are there for an extended time but that is expected as it seems to be hotel protocol these days. The staff really made the difference for us. The owner Justin made us feel like he appreciated us staying there and he values his customers. The staff all went above and beyond on our experience. We travel all over the United States and had the chance to leave a day early to get on the road. Our experience here was so nice, we decided to stay an extra day - and we were still welcomed. There is a lot of sight seeing that can be done in the area and it took us to the coast. We wouldn't have done that had it been a subpar hotel. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels in the last 4 years and have had all sorts of experiences with hospitality, my husband has worked in this field. I would say this was one of our favorite hotel experiences. The staff really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This place is a gem, stay here if you're in the area.

On July 19th, I made a reservation through hotels.com for July 24 - 27.We are traveling by car from Indianapolis, In. At 4 pm (1 hour after the cancelation window), I received a call from the hotel to see when I was arriving. Luckily, we were still a little over 2 hours away. They told me that the only room they had available was a smoking room, my reservation was for a non-smoking room! While they offered to cancel, they said I had to cancel through hotels.com which means I was only eligible for a partial refund and the hotel gets to keep the other portion. After being on the phone with hotels.com for over an hour, I learned the hotel has to approve the refund. As I was searching for a new hotel, I saw rooms available for this hotel as well for a much higher rate!! I feel like these scammers knew exactly what they were doing. They are able to keep part of my money and rent out the room much higher rate!! I wish I could leave zero stars!!

This hotel reeks like cigarettes. An extra charge for dog, however it doesn't say this anywere. I think the rude desk clerk Bob pocketed my money. Do not stay here.

Cozy & quaint spot, super friendly service, great parking, and a grocery store & Walmart on a shopping lot less than 3 minutes away.
