“Very nice place to go thrifting. Quality items at super affordable prices. Plenty of luxury items to shop for too. They had Louis Vuitton and Dooney & Bourke bags. Designer shoes too. There are 2 small changing rooms to try things on. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of parking.”
“I read about Heck's on social media- and have gone four times! The best and most interesting thrift store I have really ever seen! I always get tons of treasures for dirt cheap. I am going today before my 11:30 am shift starts. Yea! The atmosphere is relaxed chic shabby just like me! Don't change a thing but maybe add Thurs hours if possible.”
“Variety of clothes, shoes, jewelry, home decor and so much more ! If you are in need of a formal dress check this place.Small selection ,BUT if you find something, Phenominal deals!! Friendly staff . cash/venmo only.”
“Contacted Sheri via email about consigning a piece of furniture. Sheri responded promptly and priced the piece based on her professional experience. The piece sold very quickly. Would highly recommend.”
“I’m a plus size lady and it’s hard to find quality clothing at consignments. I’ve always found something here. I love how friendly everyone is and how I have a great selection.”
“I would like to start by saying this is a lovely store with a great selection of items. On my most recent visit, I unfortunately had a poor experience. The cashier today was on an incredibly personal call while tending the store. I could hear everything including the person on the other line. They were swearing and talking about their personal relationships and even how business today was slow and they weren’t making many sales today! It was highly inappropriate. Even when a customer was checking out the attendant kept on the phone call. I found it very rude and it made for an uncomfortable shopping experience.”
“This store is amazing, beautiful furniture from all time periods surprisingly reasonable priced too will be back for furniture in the future, mid century modern items all over the place , went in for some knick knacks for fathers day gifts found a bunch of cool things and Eddie gave even gave me a discount from the ticket prices , super cool store and actually really big inside too lots to look at couldve stayed there all day”
“Whenever I am in the area, which is about once or twice a month, I stop in. They sell a lot of cool stuff. Everything's is priced to be a great value. It is easy to get in and out, the place is on the parkway, the "BT" as the locals call it.”
“Wonderful ... Gotta say, this was the BEST experience in a thrift shop in my life since moving to the area. The owners are great, the workers are helpful, and the store mascot is cute as a button. Only thing missing were bad, nasty attitudes!! Refreshing to FINALLY find a store where customer service is realized as a key factor in the survival of the business. No more Goodwill or Walmart for me. Is this place or nowhere from now on!”
“"I'd pay any price just to get you I'd work all my life and I will To win you I'd stand naked, stoned, and stabbed I'd call that a bargain, the best I ever had" (The Who) When you find out that a thrift store is running a "35% off" sale to mark their 5th anniversary, well any bargain seeking red blooded American would head on over, just like we just did. The store is larger than the one we customarily visit in Simsbury, so I didn't feel cramped walking around alongside a fair number of fellow shoppers. It's very neat and well organized inside and seemed to have a lot of merchandise. I saw the usual dishes, housewares, women's and men's shoes (including some gorgeous Air Jordans), shirts, blouses, outerwear, pants and jeans, plus sportscoats and men's suits ($25 or so). Some of the more unusual things I saw was an impressive collection of "I Love Lucy" memorabilia, and hiding among the audio CD's was a William Hung CD! He made quite a splash on American Idol 20 years ago, and if you're too young to know who he is, go check him out on YouTube. I bought a long sleeve white dress shirt, a red tie, and my wife bought a long sleeve top. After the 35% discount we paid an obscene $16 for everything. Yes, quite the bargain indeed. PRO TIP Parking is a bit of a toss-up, their lot is micro-sized, so you'll probably end up parking on a side street like we did.”
“I was really impressed at how neat, clean and organized this store is! They had a great variety of items for children of all ages. The store had very clear policies about selling items and give you a helpful handout about selling for new customers, which I really appreciated. I liked that they accepted some toys, and not just clothing.”
“I love a good trip to Plato’s closet, however I haven’t been to the Wethersfield location. I stopped in the other day and felt very welcomed. I have gone to other stores and normally they don’t acknowledge your existence. However my experience at this store was quite the opposite. I was looking for clothes for my daughter and often struggle to know what she likes. I asked an employee for an opinion and she was more than happy to help. She took the time to help me shop around. I felt like a VIP customer as she helped me find the brands my daughter loves. I am beyond grateful for my experience at this Plato’s closet. Ashley was the name of the lovely girl who helped me and she deserves all the appreciation. I will never go to another Plato’s besides this. Thank you Ashley for all it help my daughter loved everything!!”
“Wonderful consignment store! Quality merchandise , friendly, helpful employees. Furniture, housewares, decor, clothes, pocketbook, shoes, jewelry. They have occasional sales, discounts for frequent shoppers and a mark down area. I always find something to buy every time I go there. I highly recommend.”
