Though I only ate at the restaurant for an event I already know I want to come & stay the night next time . We were celebrating a local’s amazon series premiere and we needed an accessible location with great food . White Hart delivered . We had a private room & several people attended in wheelchairs with ease . Plenty of room to navigate without bumping into others and tables were an excellent height . Accessible bathrooms on the same level as well . We had an amazing time and I’m still thinking about those rolls ! My only suggestion would be to add a note about accessibility on your website as I had trouble locating an info but it’s possible I missed it . Hope to see you again soon ;)

We were in a tough spot with driving with 4 kids, at night and our other place falling through. They were so nice and worked with us to find 3 rooms together at the last minute! The rooms were nice, well equipped and breakfast was also great. Very convenient for those looking to stay somewhere when driving at Limerock.

I will not stand an establishment that silences victims and is not an establishment for the people. This proves that these people of staff have no respect for proper care of there own staff, how will they be able to care for customers? Will we be silenced next? If I can give 0 stars I would, they know what they did and shouldn’t put there own workers in harms way, but they PUT THERE WORKER IN HARMS WAY WITH THEIR DOMESTIC ABUSER!!!
This place is garbage rude customer service and I got yelled at by an employee apart from this place deserves 0 stars deleted bad reviews

Can’t see enough great things about the food and service at this restaurant. Maybe we get special treatment because my daughter works here.😊 There’s also a café in the building where you can get scone sandwiches, breakfast things and coffee. This is definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. You may see some celebrities as well, be respectful!

We got married at The White Hart at the end of February 2025, and we cannot recommend it enough as a venue. If we could give this place 10 stars, we would. The inn has amazing charm, delicious food, and the best drinks we’ve ever had, but what really sets it apart is the people. From the first time we set foot inside we were treated so well, which is something that is lacking at larger venues (we looked at MANY venues and nothing could top The White Hart’s hospitality). Emma, our wedding coordinator, was AMAZING from the first time we met all the way through the big day. Ryan is an exceptional bartender who worked with us to create a delicious drink menu and Desiree was the MVP of the wedding morning making sure everyone had everything they needed while getting ready. The next morning the entire staff kept saying congratulations to us and made us feel so special. We cannot recommend The White Hart enough for your special day, it is truly an amazing place! We feel so grateful to have had our special day here, and look forward to visiting The White Hart on our anniversary for years to come!

I absolutely loved my stay at the White Hart Inn. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the atmosphere was just what I needed. Beautiful little area with good restaurants (that close early! Careful!) and friendly folks.

Wonderful room with very high attention to detail to the point where they matched the finish for the doorknob to the bathroom finish on the bathroom side and the room finish on the room side. The finish carpentry is wonderfully done and the room appointments were beautiful with Frette and Matouk linens. Quality throughout. The staff we interacted with were also very accommodating and wonderful as well. Dinner in the tavern was very good too. A great stay.

I love getting a coffee and a snack and sitting by the fire in the main guest lounges if I am ever near in CT. The walk up cafe food is great and mostly made to order. The service is friendly and it's a lovely place to sit on the deck in warm weather or nest by the fireplace or in the library room. The decoration feels like you are in the weekend section of the NY Times or in a cosy relatives house that you like ;)

Go for dinner and you won’t be disappointed. Service is friendly and attentive. The menu rivals any top tier restaurant. Enjoy!

Our daughter’s wedding was there. It’s a colonial inn that dates to the 1700s. It is very well kept.
My daughter and fiancé now husband had the bridal suite which had 2 beds, 2 bath, a sitting room, mini kitchen and sizable closets. The pictures on the site are so understated. It is gorgeous!
There are some rooms in the inn, with suites in without outdoor access in the back but easy access. My daughter came down the staircase to her waiting father and led to the groom and officiant.
The wedding was held in the library and seated 40 people comfortably inside. Because the bride and bridegroom are heavy readers they brought a lifetime of books to serve as backdrop in the bookcases along with flowers and family photos.
After the ceremony we went across the foyer to the dining room with its beautiful wood burning fireplace and windows and sat down to a beautiful brunch served family style.
A logistics note, we did do our own setup in the dining room early in the morning where we had brought all the arrangements.
I made and brought the wedding cake which they kept in the kitchen. They set it up for us and cut it after the first cut.
They can do all of it, and you can hire the bakery down the road to make it for you, but if you are a DIY’er, talk over it with them. They are very accommodating. We started 8 months in advance discussing plans.
Ps they do have room blocks for their 16 rooms and have one handicap room that is a king suite

This review is of the tavern. Lovely spot, especially in winter, with the fireplace cackling and the ambiance is casual, cozy and warm. Bartender, servers and host were all very friendly and attentive. Food is spectacular. We tried the confit chicken croquette, salmon, mushroom over grits, rigatoni, grilled pork chop and the fries. Standouts were the croquette, pork chop and mushroom dishes but honestly everything was delicious.
