“I have been taking my dog Peaches here for over 7 years and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gumprecht, Kathy the office manager, and the all of vet techs. They always greet me and Peaches with a smile, answer all of my questions (no matter how silly they are sometimes), and spend as much time with us as we need. My dog recently had an issue that lasted over 3 weeks. During that time we had 2 visits and I had to call the office many times. They were always patient with me, helpful, and showed genuine concern for Peaches. I would highly recommend Seymour Veterinary Hospital for your veterinary needs. “We have been bringing our dog to Country Companions for the last 2 and a half years! Every experience has been a great experience (even if it's not our boys favorite place...I mean does anyone actually enjoy shots). They are patient and loving with him and they communicate amazingly with us! They are also responsive and helpful as we have had several sick and injury visits, as our boy has epilepsy.”
“I recently switched to Cat's corner to have a cat-only vet since it felt like they could give my cat more specific attention. Boy, was I ever so pleased!
My elder cat recently had liver levels ping on his bloodwork and I've been in and out of the vet's office so much recently that I feel like I live there. Every time I arrive everyone has been super friendly and they get me into a room right away, no waiting in the lobby. On busy days, there can sometimes be a wait in the rooms, but unlike waiting in the lobby, you can then feel free to let your little one out to roam and get comfy.
Cat's Corner is a comfortable environment for my cat. he's often just relaxing in his carrier or laying on my lap when we're waiting there.
The techs are knowledgeable, charming, and treat your cat with care and love. The Doctors are wonderful. I've primarily seen Dr. Winskey and she has gone above and beyond what I would expect from even a caring Vet's office. She's always taken the time to exam Warden with care and has sat with me to thoroughly review the findings. I'm the kind of person who will come in with a written list of questions and she took the time to give each concern attention and answer to the best of her knowledge. When there was a question that needed more research, she's taken the work with her and followed up consistently. I've been able to text and email as the situation changes and every time I've been met with kind, attentive, and fast communication.
Dr. Winskey even told me once that she had been laying awake thinking about my cat's situation one night because she felt there had been more to go over in the appointment that she had not addressed. She's checked in even when Dr. Burke was the one to run the labs because she was out. Dr. Winskey even took warden's situation to a specialist to consult with them for a second opinion.
Recently, she mapped out two different paths for us to pursue. I had originally been very against putting my elder cat through a surgery, but when I heard that it was going to be done in house at Cat's Corner, I felt a lot more at ease with the idea. This is coming from a person with high anxiety, especially about doing right by my furry life-companion. I'm surprised at myself for how calm my brain is about the idea (not 100% calm because I've still got my anxious ways, but I feel at peace with the possibility)

“Dr. Broderick, Dennis and their staff are wonderful. When we adopted a rescue kitten who almost died Dr. B took care of him when our vet didn't respond to our call. We have taken all of our pets there ever since. Veterinary care is not inexpensive, and Dr. B is fair and reasonable. He is professional and takes the time to explain and answer questions. I highly recommend this practice!”

“Literally from the initial phone call to actually having my dog seen was completely easy and calm. Of course, mentally I’m freaking out bc my dog was having diarrhea for 5 days. But every member of your staff was so kind with getting her seen. The vet tech and doctor answered all my questions and were incredibly kind to my dog. It really is the best place to take a dog with vet anxiety. They handled her so well!”

“They have been phenomenal for our 4year old cat. She is feisty and has unfortunately had quite a list of health issues over the past year and a half. Last year she became very sick basically overnight. Our previous primary "low cost" vet was impossible to get a hold of. I was frantically calling every vet I could find and no one was willing to fit her in as a new patient. They were so kind and did what they could to get us seen. They worked with us on finding her the right medication and offered affordable options. Their visits are pretty affordable as well. The doctor is great, thorough, and straight to the point. Would absolutely recommend.”

“I brought my two cats to Shelton Veterinary Center for a routine visit — one needed vaccinations and the other needed a nail trim. Dr. Harter, who was filling in as the relief vet that day, was wonderful with both of them. She was gentle, patient, and clearly experienced with cats, which made the whole visit go smoothly despite my one cat who doesn't like vet trips. I also mentioned a concern I had and she took the time to address it and explain what could be going on, which I really appreciated. The staff is always friendly and efficient whenever I take my cats their for care. It's always a great experience overall.”
“I cannot thank Dr Padilla and his staff enough. My furbaby sustained a fall injury on sat night - resulting in a limp. Our primary vet clinic was closed on the weekends and Dr. Padilla and his group were able to take us in the following Sunday morning to look at our dog. Dr Padilla was professional and compassionate - reassuring us throughout the visit. His entire staff was very kind and welcoming.”

“I had an overall positive experience at VCA Animal Hospital in Shelton. The hospital is very nice, clean, and well organized. From the front desk staff to the nurses and veterinary team, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and great with my dog. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the animals they are treating, and I really appreciated how well they worked with him.
My only major criticism is the cost. VCA is extremely expensive, and I can see how the prices could make it very difficult for families whose pets have serious or ongoing health issues to afford care. Just the evaluation alone was over $200. After the exam, a shot, and some drops, I walked out with a bill of $436. That was definitely a shock.
I understand that quality veterinary care is expensive, but these prices are a lot, especially during difficult economic times. I wish there were more affordable options or pricing available because pet owners shouldn't have to feel that getting their animal the care they need is financially out of reach.
Cost aside, however, I had a great experience. The facility was excellent, the staff were wonderful, and most importantly, my dog was treated with kindness and care. I would absolutely give the team itself high marks — I just wish the cost of care was more manageable.”

“They’re the best around. Family owned practice with lots of love and medicinal support for your pet’s needs. I’ve had four cats treated throughout the years. They’re affordable, professional, accommodating and informative.
I wouldn’t have my male cat with me today if it wasn’t for Dr.Adam and their surgical staff. Dr.Pooja is also extremely attentive and helped clear an infection to my girl cat.
