It is fascinating to visit various Stop and Shop stores around Connecticut. You never know what to expect as far as organization, cleanliness, and most importantly staffing. I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of flowers in the florist area in this particular store. The display was elegant, colorful, and showed a lot of effort on the part of someone who really has a passion for flowers. I looked around to compliment whoever was working there, but I did not see anyone. The rest of the store was moderately stocked, and again, very few staff were present and available. It was a little surprising that this particular store was not as clean as some of the others, as that seemed to be one of this chain's stronger attributes. I would definitely go to this store for floral arrangements in the future!

Pretty much like every other Stop & Shop you've been at. Plenty of fresh produce but in this instance we were looking for flowers and their shop had beautiful bouquets.

Whatever happened to Stop and Shop? Another reminder today why I and my wife avoid this store at all costs. Just needed one thing that was on sale so I took a chance of getting out of there with no problems. Self check out took my money and did not record it. Pressed help needed and waited for help. Saw three employees at CS desk yapping away but no response. Started pacing a bit so they would see me. No response. Finally one of them saw me and mosied over. Almost sounded like she did not believe me. Always get a response like I was the one that did something wrong. (Especially when a coupon does not download). Wonder why everyone shops across the street and not this store anymore (always empty when I've been there) Here is another good reason...cs people seem willing and eager to fight you every step of the way.

Not a very kind manager, I believe John is his name. I won't shop there ever again. Good thing Shop Rite is across the way.

I prefer the Monroe location over Bridgeport Avenue store simply because it's closer by about 2 miles. But They can't figure out curbside pickup. I used to pick up from Bridgeport Avenue store and I never once had a problem there. Now every time I've ordered from the Monroe store, it's delayed, there are missing items which I'm not told about and today nearly a 4 hour delay from my scheduled pick up time and their out of stock in 26 items. Four hour delay! They said they'd call me when it was ready but they never did. Finally I called them to say I want a full refund to my credit card and cancel this order. Now it's 8:30 at night and the three different people I was tossed to had no idea how to cancel. Now I have to not only do the shopping myself, I've wasted my time tonight and have to call again tomato hopefully speak to someone who knows what to do. I guess it's back to Bridgeport Avenue store it's two miles farther but never a headache. They know what they're going there. They can teach Monroe store a lesson.

I would not recommend this store if you are concerned about COVID protocols being ignored. Today, I saw at least 3 staff members taking their masks partially and fully off near customers at the entrance, at the courtesy counter and by the customer line near the pharmacy. These were not the pharmacy staff members - they were all wearing masks properly. On a previous visit, an employee at the deli counter kept taking her mask of and talking while slicing cold cuts. I asked her to put her mask on and she didn't so I refused to buy the cold cuts. I reported to the manager who I believe was named Mike, and he said he would talk to her. There's only one entrance open, at the opposite end from the pharmacy. Male employee standing right inside the entrance, where hot air blows, with his mask down so his nose was fully exposed. I said you should have your mask on all the way, he said I know. 15 minutes later on my way out, he now had it on his chin so his nose AND mouth are exposed, standing right next to some poor woman who got stuck trying to exit because he apparently turned off the auto door opener so she had to manually push it while he fiddled with the switch. I came back to get my RX, and there is the same guy washing windows with his mask not covering his nose. Meanwhile there are HUGE signs outside the store saying masks are required by state inside. I was going to stop at courtesy desk to tell someone, but just as I got there the female employee took her mask completely off to say hi to a customer with an infant. Then while waiting in line at pharmacy, another male employee had his mask not covering his nose, talking loudly to another guy right next to the people on line for pharmacy. Then he took it completely off multiple times while talking and loading food. I told the girl at the pharmacy counter. Had I not needed medication I would have left. I am concerned enough that I am afraid to ever go back & I pray I didn't catch anything. It's bad enough there are shoppers not being compliant but no excuse for the employees, and since I reported it the the manager before, it doesn't seem to have worked.

literally worst grocery store for peapod. I am writing this as I am currently sitting in my car still waiting for them to bring out the groceries. It has been 30 minutes already. They do not send you an email or call you with anything out of stock so they don't even tell you until you show up to pick up your groceries. Giving you no other options unless you want to continue to wait even more. Even though I told them don't worry about swapping it out for things I won't even use a lives, but I have been sitting here waiting for a half an hour without even having substitutions. I could have done my own grocery store shopping. Just trying to limit contacts during this time they are literally the only store who never has anything in stock and keeps you waiting. being on a lunch break i'm DISGUSTED!!!!!!! I will be posting these reviews everywhere! don't dare give them business

Bad customer service. If you need something & don't know where it is there's no one to help you. The cashiers are usually not friendly. There are never enough lanes open and hardly ever a "bagger". I noticed this business is "unclaimed" which just goes to show you management isn't even reading what their customers think! There are much better grocery stores nearby so we don't have to deal with a poor shopping experience.

Saturday morning and they only have 3 lanes open??? Why??? I'm so annoyed. Do better management. John finally decided to open up another lane as other patrons started to complain.
