Our Sales rep, Misha, was very good guiding us through the purchase process at Mitchell Volvo Simsbury. He was patient and helpful when we had follow-up questions about the details of operating the electronic and safety features of the pre-owned car. As he was preparing the sales contract, Misha also brought our attention to a discount coupon offer through Volvo. The entire sales support staff assisted us, addressing our questions, when Misha was not available. Our purchase and service experience with Mitchell's is excellent.

Came fully prepared to purchase a vehicle I found online, left no longer wanting it specifically because of the salesperson, Alane. Instead of trying to sell me the paint protection service, she lied and said it CAME WITH the car. So I said "oh cool, so it's already installed on the car and built into the price?" (Because you know, that's what "COMES WITH THE CAR" implies.) But no, it's an extra $1500 that she was just trying to tack on. Then she lied about how much they could give me for my trade, reciting Kelly Blue Book, unaware that I had already checked KBB AND gotten a quote from another dealership for thousands more than she offered, and when I revealed this to her she replied with, "I ASKED you if you got a quote." I'm not going to tell you what someone else gave me just so you can match it, I was hoping for more, and KBB also said my car was worth way more than she offered. Then she had the gall to tack on some OTHER service she didn't explain on my quote too. Unreal. At this point I felt like I couldn't trust anything that came out of her mouth. She also was awkward and seemed like a poor fit for a sales role, and as a salesperson whose personal brand is based on trust I'm very offended by this entire experience with her. Thanks for turning what should have been an exciting experience for me into a total waste of my time and total lack of faith in you, Alane.Edit: The reply is from a 3rd party service they hired to give dry, canned replies to bad reviews. Awful and impersonable way to deal with customers!

BEWARE PRICING SCAM! $1,500 non-optional Glasscoat, $800 dealer fee, and won't accept cash! YOU CANNOT BUY THE CAR FOR THE ADVERTISED PRICE PLUS TAX & REG - Very dishonest practice. As a longtime customer, I wrote a letter to Mark privately to express my dissatisfaction but have not received the courtesy of a reply. I can only conclude that buying two new XC60's and having them serviced there for the last decade is just not enough to warrant a reply to a serious matter. Just bought a third XC60 from Secor in New London - no funny business there.REPLY TO MITCHELL COMMENT (02NOV23) - My contact details are in the letter I sent to Mark - please avail yourself of those and have a policy decision-maker reach out to me (that's why I sent the letter - and I'll be more than happy to share my point of view). To be clear, I'm not interested in a transactional solution, but rather to improve the transparency you claim to have for all potential car buyers at your dealership. Fundamentally, if you add an option to a car that people don't have the option to refuse, then it is not an option at all, any more than axles or windows are options, and the cost belongs in the advertised price. Failing to include it renders your advertisement false, prima facie, and attempting to cover this unsavory practice in fine print somewhere is disingenuous at best. Your service department has been good to me all these years - such a pity to have that experience overshadowed by these practices on the sales side now.

We enjoyed our experience at Mitchell Volvo. Misha Malchevsky was our salesperson. He was honest, knowledgeable, responsive, and patient, very different from past experiences at other dealerships. He worked hard to get us a fair price, listened to our needs and didn’t pressure us through out the process. Even after the sale, he was responsive to questions to ensure we were enjoying our new Volvo. We are big Volvo fans and would definitely go back to Misha at Mitchell Volvo! If you want a Volvo, we recommend you do the same!

Condescending, lack of communication, doesn’t listen to customers, rushed, and overall terrible experience. Seth spoke ridiculously rude to my father who was just trying to understand. Talk about disrespectful to both people of color and women. Didn’t even get to test drive, yet salesman was speeding in the cars in the lot. I don’t think they care at all about customers they just want you to put tons of money down to get approved and make sure it’s fast! Never again.

Ordered some parts for my saab online. I get an email 7 days later telling me the parts back ordered. So they're selling parts they don't have. They they asked if I wanted them to ship the other part. I was expecting these parts. I called. No response. I emailed. No response. Finally after I get someone on the phone I asked what's going on with the order. He replied we canceled it.Seriously unprofessional. Stay away from Mitchell dealership they're horrible. I'm having to dispute the charge. Selling parts you don't have i mean who does that? It would be like if I was selling a car and you gave me the money and then I said well I don't have it. I'm going to use your money to buy it from someone else.I worked at several dealerships and not once did we sell parts we didn't have or parts that were on backorder. I mean they just keep your money and maybe someday they be available. Fraudulent business practices.
