Terrible service and is the worst rental car company I have ever worked with. The manager is rude and condescending. The staff are unhelpful and uninformative. Rented a car that had unique features, and asked the attendant to show me how to turn off the feature because it's uncomfortable to drive with it on. He told me to drive around their parking lot to see if the feature is turned on. It would have taken 2 minutes to show me what button to press to deactivate it but I guess it's too much of an inconvenience to help new customers operate new features on a vehicle. In addition, they gave me a vehicle with close to half a tank of gas and then overcharged me for half a tank of gas I didn't use. Asked to have photos sent to my email showing the gas gauge and mileage started when I picked up the car, and never received an email from them. Still waiting for a $500 deposit from them which they owe me. Rent somewhere else.

I arrived from an Uber ride only to be told there was no car for me after spending $40 to get there. Then had to spend another $20 to get to Avis where the actually had the cars requested, stay away from this location, several people left with the identical situation.

I don't recommend this place. First, the cars they rent are dirty, and electric cars are worse, supposedly an electric car gives a range of 255 miles but in reality it only gives you 230 miles.

The guys at this location have always taken good care of me. While small and not a good selection, I usually get a decent rental. Matt and Sal are great to work with.. Friendly and knowledgeable , and will go the extra mile to ensure I am pleased. I do think the company should invest a bit in sprucing up this location and of course expanding it for more space, though they are landlocked in current location. Would want it to stay close by, and always near I84 for convenience. Thus the 4 star rating vs 5.

Don’t go to this hertz or hertz at all. I rented a car for 3 days returned it on time and who ever was working there never took my Credit card of from the rental so I got charged for the person that rented the car after me. It’s been 3 months and they haven’t been able to resolve my problem even tho they recognize that they messed up.

As a loyal customer of this agency for the past 10 years, and a total of 25 with Hertz, I can't think of a better service. No matter how often I show up to pick up or return a vehicle I always get greeted with a big smile and by name.As a long-time car buff, my President Circle status gives me often access to sporty and high-end cars, that turn each business trip into an opportunity to test drive some of the most rewarding cars available on the market. This week I got two Tesla Model 3, that I enjoyed comparing with my Ioniq 5.Kudos to the team, always friendly and helpful, and particularly the manager!

I rented a vehicle at this Hertz location for a ski weekend in Vermont and picked up the car late Thursday afternoon. I got flashed on the Taconic Parkway several times for what seemed to be no reason. Halfway into the drive, I was then pulled over by a state trooper who let me know that both of the vehicle's tailights were out. The officer determined that there was a fuse issue with the vehicle as both the brake lights and the hazards were working, but the tailights were not turning on. Thankfully the police officer did not write me a ticket and asked that I continued my drive with my hazards on so that the vehicle was visible at night. The officer also asked that I avoided driving at night after arriving in Vermont to prevent any further issues. Safe to say half of our weekend plans were ruined thanks to the issues with the vehicle.After the officer left, I immediately called Hertz Roadside Assistance to notify them of the issue. I was told that the nearest location was 2 and a half hours away. However, the representative did not want to ruin our ski weekend and told us to keep driving and call back after the vehicle was returned to seek a refund.I dropped off the vehicle that Sunday, but unfortunately the rental office is closed on Sundays. I called the billing department the following day giving them an update on what had happened. The representative was extremely helpful and told me that everything was on file and had been accounted for. She went as far as saying that the only reason I had a chance of getting a refund was because I immediately called roadside assistance and they had made note of the conversation. She officially filed a claim with the location and asked that I checked in a few days later.So I called back that Wednesday and was told that a full refund had been processed for the vehicle given the issues we faced. It had been determined that it was the fault of the Danbury branch employees who did not inspect the vehicle before I drove it off the lot. The service I had received up until this point was excellent and everyone was extremely understanding of the predicament we were in.I then called tonight to check in on the status of my refund as it had been almost a week. I was then told that the branch manaer denied my request for a refund because I "never contacted Hertz to notify them of the issue" nor did I "attempt to return the vehicle to the pickup location".Does contacting Hertz Roadside Assistance 4x and having a case number documenting the conversations outlined above not qualify as "contacting" Hertz? Who in their right mind would suggest that I drive 4 hours from Vermont to Connecticut to return the vehicle while on vacation. That's like me asking someone from the Danbury branch to drive up to Vermont to swap my vehicle while I was on the mountain skiing. In fact, that's what they should be doing seeing as how they are in the customer service business.

If I could give this company AND location no stars I would. Absolutely the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. They gave me three cars with tires that had leaks—when I asked is it possible you have nails in the parking lot the MANAGER shrugged. When I told them the first had a flat and I hadn’t driven it at all other than driving it home two weeks prior, the response I received was “that doesn’t sound like our problem, you’ve had it for two weeks”. The third car I received was past inspection and I received a ticket. When I calmly brought it to the manager’s attention his response was “uhhh I don’t know what to do, this has never happened…” he said he’d handle it and after all of this never did! Wouldn’t come to the phone to talk to me so once again my work day was interrupted by having to spend HOURS at Hertz park while the manager has his AIRPODS in his ear and finger you know where… and I’m not able to do my job. I truly hope that he is properly trained after this or let go. No upper management to help or handle anything.

Mercedes had a recall so they sent us to hertz Danbury CT . They were very pleasant and easy to deal with we got a small SUV I wish it was a bit bigger but with gas these days it'll due. Great location near highway . Safe inside gates and great customer service so far. Thanks ?

The guys that work there are very nice and they are very efficient. This place is open on Sundays which makes life a ton easier. Whereas their competition is closed and you have to pay the extra day. Good choice to do business here
