The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have good suggestions and have aways been able to point me in the right direction, whether it's for myself or someone else. The framing department was helpful also and did a great job, although I recommend calling first to make sure someone is there.

Jerks change their hours but don’t bother to put it online. I went there to find out they close at 7 instead of 8 pm on Sunday now. Not good timing especially around the holiday season.

They have a pretty large selection of art supplies. The other reviews here are very accurate about the front end. The self checkout is pretty jenky and you can find yourself sitting around for 20 minutes+ waiting for your checkout to get fixed. I eventually just moved all of my things to a new register once I realized that no employees were coming to assist.

I was recently shopping in the Michael’s location in Southbury Connecticut while I was on my way to New York. I stopped, just to purchase a few things, and was shocked at how neat clean and organized the store was ! All the workers were friendly and attentive to my questions. I even passed by who I believe was the store manager who helped me over in the custom framing area with the questions that I had. It was great to see a leader out on the floor, giving direction and helping customers which is something you don’t find in brick and mortar stores anymore. I will definitely be visiting the store again and will become my primary source of crafts and custom framing going forward. if I could give this store 10 stars I would. Kudos to the leader ship team in that building.

At 6:30pm, August 28thNo option for NO Stars so using the one star.First time into your store. Greeted by no one. No one at cash register. Walked down toward back no one in site. I called out and just heard echos. No one n no response.Yelled out Anybody Here. Nothing. Walked back to front and found some one who looked like a worker. I asked them where twine was and where did everyone go. He indicated they were in the back.I also indicated I wanted to speak to a manager. After a wait a young lady appeared. She was accompanied with a guy who seemed to be a customer. I complained that there was no one to greet me when I walked into the store. Alsi asked if they knew what was going in in NY, Grab n Run. This shopping center has also had this type of shoplifting. Told them not goid to have all in back stire needs employees avaiable to customers. Not good.

This store doesn’t have much.The few staff I did see, chose not to greet me nor make eye contact. They seemed miserable stocking shelves.You’re forced to use self checkout.

Good selections of items, but customer service is terrible. They don't have many employees and the ones they do have are all in a bad mood. There's no one at the front register so if you want to return something you have to go looking through the store for some one to help you, and when you ask them to, they act very annoyed and passive aggressive. They frown and make sarcastic remarks to your questions. I experienced this with multiple employees on different days. Love having a Michael's in Southbury, but the workers need to be trained better. I hope management takes this into account.

Poorly Stocked. Also, there is nobody working the register. I am beyond annoyed with self checkout. I don't work at the store and I no desire to check myself out. I asked the worker who was just standing around the front of the store if she could ring us out. She made a face like she was disgusted we would ask. Terrible service, never returning.

Big bunch of nothing. Poor selection means you won’t really find anything and the staff is scarce and they all seem very annoyed that you ask for help and interrupt their conversation. Attempted to get a frame on three different occasions and still can’t get anything; it’s almost like they don’t care about selling anything. Avoid.

Thrilled to have Michaels newest store here in Southbury! Friendly and helpful staff, fully stocked and well organized, a great framing department, and super clean. Have been in multiple times and each time has been a pleasure!

I was pleasantly surprised that this location was open. The store was beautiful and well stocked. And the employees were attentive and very helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Went there today to look for yarn, very disappointing, really nothing, not a very big selections as the other stores have. The aisles were very narrow, had to wait until someone came out of the aisle to go down and look otherwise you would bump into them. I doubt I'll go back anytime soon if even.
