As of late, I have been having to throw away foods bought at the southbury location. Either the milk, cheese or cream is bad or in this case a pie. I purchased a cherry pie and when I cut into it, the color of the cherries was brown. At first I thought it was just one cherry but as I peeled the top crust back I was shocked to see not only brown cherries but moldy and dotted with white specs. Not sure what that was. I tried calling the store but no one picks up and all you hear is annoying music, which is another shocker you would think they would play some nice relaxing music but it was absolutely torture listening to it. NO kidding!. I am pretty disappointed since I always thought very highly of this store.

After my nearby ShopRite closed (Autumn 2022), I have shopped at 3 different locations, depending on my itinerary. I like the Shop Rite in Southbury the best of all 3! It's clean, has a good hot buffet bar & hot grinders, good selection of cheeses, bakery products, and pre-packaged food. Sale items are in stock, even late in the week. And the cashiers have been friendly each and every time. I don't buy fish, meat or poultry, so I haven't had any of the unfortunate experiences some other reviewers have. For the items I purchase, I prefer this Shop Rite location for its cleanliness and selection.

My mother has had her groceries delivered from here for several years to her home. She has since moved to a skilled nursing facility a month ago. I recently called to add a decorative small tree/plant for a surprise Christmas cheer to add to her room to be delivered and was assisted by the online shopping staff. They were exceptionally helpful in choosing a cute tree and then surpassed any expectations by placing lights (even installed batteries) and decorations on it! My Mom and the staff at the nursing home love it! Thank you so much for the great customer service! Merry Christmas to all! ?

Diamonds in the Rough... That's what I saw today at ShopRite. The meat section had awesome choices of meat for choosing. Look at provided photo. Recommend highly before their GONE

Well-maintained.I think this is a pretty good grocery store for basic produce; I've never had an issue buying basic fruits & vegetables here. Also decent for a few others items and toiletries.I wouldn't dream of buying meat or dairy here, but hey, that goes for pretty much all grocery store chains.

Freshest fish in any area supermarket. PS, don't go shopping if you're in a crabby mood. I've never had any of the experiences people are moaning about. Check your calendar, it's 2023, we've just experienced a pandemic. The bagger chatting with the cashier, worked through this and allowed you to continue shopping.

This branch doesn't give Senior Discount 10% day like the Southington store. Unfortunate the owners think all senior shoppers in that town don't need the discount.

I just had a terrible experience at the store. First they have rude little personal shoppers, running around the store cutting in front of you in the isles parking the cart in the middle of the aisle so other people can’t get by. When I get up to the cash register I hand them a pile of bags, two of which are clearly cooler bags I put all my cold and frozen stuff on the belt first, none of my cold stuff, made it into either of the cold bags. I provided more than an adequate amount of bags for my shopping trip. But I was told I didn’t have enough then they started loading paper bags, full of heavy items, such as pineapple, cantaloupe, and canned goods. Then I was told I needed a second cart because all of my stuff wouldn’t fit into one cart. So they loaded up one cart and put two small bags in a second one and stuff underneath the second one all of which could’ve gone in the original cart. I came home with damaged goods and a whole bunch of ripped up paper bags. Maybe if the bagger paid more attention to packing up my bags instead of talking to his little friend at the cash register, I wouldn’t have come home with a loaf of squash bread, a package of squished rolls, and two boxes that were completely destroyed due to being packed in a bag full of frozen items.
