I want to give a shout out to Tony, the produce manager at the Southington Price Chopper. That grocery store is the only one that sells seeded watermelon, which is a summer favorite of mine. They require you to buy the whole watermelon, which is not a problem for me. What is a problem is that I am 71 years old and can not carry a whole watermelon to my car and then into my house. I called up before I arrived at Price Chopper and asked if they could cut the watermelon into 4 pieces for me and wrap each piece individually so I would be able to carry them into my house more easily. Tony told me yes! When I got to the Southington Price Chopper Tony had chosen a watermelon for me, cut it, and had already wrapped each piece for me! He was so kind! I really appreciate his doing that for me. Wonderful customer service!! And the watermelon was wonderful too!! Thank you Tony!!Marcia Diephouse

I had a wonderful experience at this store today. I am planning a vegan dinner for my daughter tomorrow and needed to find some items including gluten free pasta and vegan parmesan cheese. I was wandering around not knowing where to look or if they had those items. A lovely young man who was stacking the eggs offered to help me and gave me all I needed to know. Ie where to find the items and which aisles. It was so helpful and refreshing

Just came back from store. Sunday morning around 8 am. Just one cashier working. I had to wait in a line eight deep just for milk and juice. At least have someone at the self checkout.
