Frustrated to say the least. My power steering went out and I had my car towed here by AAA as it was on the AAA discount members list. They said they no longer are part of that program - alright, no worries. They told me the power steering was due to a wheel bearing issue causing it to shut off. I ended up putting $3,500 of work into it - for the original issue and for upkeep (brakes, tires, shocks) only to have the same issue occur a few days later. I brought it back in and they said it was a $5,000 fix for the steering rack and go to a dealership. After all that, the dealership told me the same thing and I basically put $3,500 into a totaled vehicle for no reason. I now have to buy a new vehicle and wasted two weeks of my time and a lot of money.

Give them boys infront a damn raise. Internet was out in the whole building. Guy on the right of doorway (didn't catch his name) did everything to accommodate me. They're inconvenience was not mine. 10 out of 10.

Very middle-of-the-road service: I came, got what I needed, then left. Unfortunately, there were some things I wish I had known or had done after I left.
I came with a budget of around $400-$500 and left paying $1000. The tires I had selected online weren't in stock at the store, and despite me saying I wanted whatever else was cheap, I was told my best bet was tires costing about $130 (compared to the $65 tires I selected). The TPMS change was also a lot higher than what was listed online, costing about $125 per (compared to $35 total). Online also listed the alignment as free but ran me another $100 in the store.
I understand that maybe the website is only there to help give rough estimates and not the final pricing, but having my pricing double when I go in is crazy. I do wish I could've challenged the pricing more and brought up the prices listed on the site to see if I could get a lower price, but hindsight is 20/20. I do kind of regret spending this much money when I did state that I only needed tires that would last me another year, max.
The entire thing just seemed manipulative and deceptive compared to what was expected, which seems common as I had a horrible experience in Midas concerning my valve cover. If my estimate went up another hundred or two, I wouldn't really complain, but another five-six hundred that I could've saved for something else is really annoying.
This, along with my service at the Bristol location two years ago, only cemented that I won't be able to go to another Midas store or any other chain mechanic. From now on, I will likely just do things myself unless I really need to.
If you decide to come here still, please ask questions, challenge the pricing, and bring up the website. If they recommend anything, see if they have cheaper options and gauge it based on your needs, not what they think you need.
Edit:
Don’t bother going here or to any other Midas store. After speaking with the district manager, it’s clear to me that they don’t like to take accountability for their practices. Manager doesn’t seem to understand what the words manipulative and deceptive mean, instead preferring to place all blame on the choices of the consumer. This place screwed me financially, while the other almost killed me, both deciding to not take any accountability on their behalf. Do yourself a favor, pick a different place, and save yourself the hassle.

I wish I could give them a -5 for the grief and the aggravation as well as the fraud. I will add pictures once resolved. I have their Diagnosis never stating my struts needed replacing they gave me an invoice with the amount of a starter and labor to total what they build the warranty company. They were supposed to price match my tires. They gave me the cheapest tires they make and that’s not what I agreed up. Would’ve gone to Tom fair for the tires that I wanted. Adam and Tyler both lie to cover each other’s butts stay away. Either way you won’t have a car to drive
