Sweetest post office ladies ever! Just the best! (The guys are great too, but the ladies are special.)

Two weeks ago, I left a 5-star review because Mollie was very helpful. Her attitude was kind, and she assisted me in putting my document for a passport in one envelope.
This morning, I walked in to continue my passport application. However, Beth gave me a nasty attitude because I didn’t make an appointment. She compared me to another gentleman who had made an appointment, which made me feel unwelcome. She could have just asked if I minded waiting for a couple of minutes because she needed to assist that gentleman first.
It’s not wrong to not have an appointment. I don’t mind waiting a bit longer. I don’t like feeling more stressed because I am forced to use digital media and devices.
Mollie took me in after few minutes and was helpful as always. I appreciate her.

The Plantsville Post Office Deliverers are pretty good, but Roshida and Ryan, on 7.11.23, who attempted to handle Customer Service do not know how to talk with people correctly. They accuse people of yelling when they say they can't hear you on the other end then frustrate callers by constantly interrupting them as they are trying to ask a simple question. I do not trust them at all and I recommend using another post office in the area, when sending packages and/or tracked letters. I know I will completely be avoiding them from now on!

Terribly negligent with their packages, expect lost or wrong deliveries. Delivery drivers themselves are decent.

Overstuffed my mailbox with gifts instead of just putting them on my doorstep and now my mailbox door is broken!

I have been using this horrible service post office for 5 to 6 years and this place gets crazier then ever. This is probably the only post office that if you walk in and don't have a mask on, the workers will yell at you "Put your mask on!!" Ridiculous!! Everyone that is vaccinated still have to wear a mask and today is July 1, 2021. Why? If the union has to have the workers put their mask on then the workers have to wear them. We, the customers shouldn't have to deal with this as we have been vaccinated. Also, waiting outside and only one person at a time to get into the processing office is just ridiculous. At peak times, only one worker is at the desk. Where is the other worker? This is not July 1, 2020. This is July1, 2021. I am going to go to other branches around the area when I have a chance and not use 06479 post office if I could help it. Horrible customer services.

A great experience when applying for my passport. Staff was great in helping out with the forms and process and offering answers to my questions. In and out in only a few minutes.

Above and beyond great customer service. Thank you USPS/Plantsville postal office for your service and dedication during this time that we are all going through. Tracking on package said it was delivered early in the day, although nothing in the mailbox. Called up and spoke to them. They went back out, retrieved it from wrong address and delivered it back to us right at our front door.

do not believe the Plantsville CT post office uphold the constitutional rights of all citizen. My sister and I had an appointment to process her US passport for the first time which she was extremely excited about. Unfortunately, that joy was cut short with a ill will and uninformed clerk name Hollie. As a citizen of this country, I can strongly say that no one should be denied services because of your country of birth. This was response from the Clerk name Hollie: " I will not process your application." Ms. Hollie would have been right if I did not follow the requirements and guidelines from www.travel.state.gov which is the official site regarding us travel and passport processing information. In addition, I made sure that all documents were fully vetted and spoke to the subject matter expect to verify that my father who is a hard working man and a naturalized citizen from Haiti did not have to be present in order to complete this transaction. Ms. Hollie had already made up her mind as we were walking in to the place that our my sister's passport would not be processed because of where my sister was born. My sister was born outside the country after my father became a US citizen. My recently moved to the states to finish her studies and hopefully to become a Family Medicine Physician. Now, Ms. Hollie from the Plantsville USPS, interacted with my sister in a prejudice manner and left a bad taste when it comes to conducting business with a caucasian person. The whole point of the story is show you that regardless of your zip code, people like can deliberately deny and deprive you of your rights even if you have followed all the proper guidelines and requirement set by the government. I hope this does not continue and prevent it from happening to another family. Ms. Hollie needs more training.

No possible way to speak with a human Ridiculously simple minded automated response limitations. Expected wait time to speak with actual person is nearly 2 hrs... Lending me to realize that local fed ex service is 15 mins away, and actually has human behind desk...can't raise the price of a stamp enough to compensate for the shortcomings of what has become of the USPS. Sad!!!
