BEWARE!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- DISHONEST Purchased Certified Preowned 2020 XC90. 1 week later we had windows down for first time and thought we heard noise from rear tire but thought maybe just road noise. Then we didnt hear the noise for a few weeks then heard it again. 4 weeks after purchase we decided to have their service dept look at it to make sure it was just road noise. They couldnt squeeze us in until 10 days later!!! They inform us that alignment is off and rear tires have unevenly worn to the point of needing replacement. They said they will only charge us $724.62 plus tax for the 2 tires. We feel they should replace the tires at no charge when we drove only 1900 miles since purchase. They state they replaced the front tires prior to purchase but not the rear. Obviously this AWD vehicle the rear tires needed replacing too. We refused the work to be done and decided to go to our own tire shop! SURPRISE SURPRISE!! The alignment was not off!!!! See attached photo showing before and after alignment. Vehicle was already in alignment!!! That means Riley sold us car with bad rear tires. We told Jameson Riley we wouldnt use their business anymore and neither would our friends or family! He accuses us of threatening him (see attached photo) and keeps blaming us for not noticing noise until 1 week later and not coming in until 5 weeks later. He has since refused to give us any documentation from our visit to the service dept showing our alignment was off.... Why? Because alignment was not off! We got sold a car with bad tires. We ended up getting the tires replaced at a reputable tire shop and they did the job for very close to the same price that Riley said was "their cost".... This tire shop also told us that there is virtually no way the tires were worn that bad after our purchase and they too feel we were sold a car with bad tires. Riley Volvo is great and professional until they get your money! Once you sign on the dotted line ($42,000+).... They no longer are so nice and helpful. Again... AVOID this dealership and if you don't you will regret it later!!

Their response is inaccurate. Our windshield was not cracked until it was returned to us. Your protocol is to take photos before you drive a customer's car per your team. They claim this was not done because their app was not functioning; however, your valet had an iPhone so could have taken photos on his phone to document the so called crack, but he did not do this. Every dealer or rental car company takes photos before they drive a car specifically to document any existing damage. That is your issue for not following your own protocol. We now have a 2 foot crack in our windshield that happened on your watch. You offered to repair the windshield for $1600 or told us to file a claim with our insurance. We did not threaten to sue, we asked for your lawyer's contact information after the owner Jameson Riley was unresponsive. We are not unfairly blaming you, these are the facts and it is your responsibility to fix our windshield.

awful dealership to work with... i took delivery of a new volvo60 t8 30 days ago... there has been many issues with the car since day one...such as selt belt warning chime continous ringing...loose all sound incuding warning indications and phone use...car not able to play text messages, etc... riley volvo has been more disappointing...although i just took delivery, they never offered priority service to fix the car and refused to offer a loaner car ,forcing me to take the car to a local dealer... they have basically ignored me since delivery... i asked to have the general manager call me to share my concerns...he never called, simply wrote me an email saying its your local service dealer who can't fixed the car... separately, i am surprised volvo would deliver a car with so many problems...be careful of dealing with riley volvo...

The rudest people I have ever met. Years ago they used to be great and now this new generation of Riley is god awful. Their rude, disrespectful, and their blatant thieves. They don't answer their service phone, but don't worry they'll answer their sales phone and keep transferring you to service where no one answers. They did a terrible job on our car, they over charged and are awful at communicating. I recommend either going to Westport volvo or Danbury volvo. I should have read other reviews before going to this place, they are spot on with the 1 star reviews. They do gas light you into thinking you're in the wrong or it wasn't how it seemed. But don't be fooled, their terrible. I also witnessed the manager yelling at a customer today. I've never dealt with such impolite nasty behavior. They won't last.

The service department is great--they are easy to get in touch with and are responsive to questions. Our service advisor Paul really worked to explain the options for doing our repair and kept us informed of what work was really necessary. Having service people you can trust makes a huge difference. I have been very happy with our experiences at Riley Volvo.

I've had several very positive experiences here with both sales and service. Kevin, AJ, Jameson, Paul and Ashley were all great to work with. I've used brokers to lease in the past, but with the ease and straightforwardness here, there's no reason to. I would absolutely recommend Riley without any hesitation.

There are so many other Volvo dealers, don't waste your time dealing with these guys. I bought three Volvos from them (they used to have an excellent sales rep, Sue, who no longer works there) and when I went back with an issue with my third, Jameson treated me terribly. No customer service. No concern for customer loyalty. Jameson also refused to sell me an extended warranty when I bought out the lease on my last Volvo unless I financed the car through him. Shady dealer with entitled a**hole$s running the show.

After buying my first Volvo at Riley and having a wonderful experience we returned to Riley to buy a second car. Sadly my second experience was terrible. They gave us a deal, took our $1k deposit and then told us the deal was something else. So we went to another Volvo dealer who honored their word and now Riley won't give us our $1k back. No goods or services were exchanged so I'm not sure how they can even account for it! Sadly this was a bait and switch and now they aren't returning our emails!!

After seeing this business owner's response, stating that there "may have been a misunderstanding", I feel that my intelligence is being insulted. This response is not an apology. It is gaslighting: an attempt to create confusion in my mind about what really happened. I would like to add the additional detail that I called Jameson Riley at 475.477.0258 at 4:26 p.m., from the Riley Volvo parking lot, and I left a voice message about this issue, including a request that he call me back. I never did hear from him, even though a call back might have facilitated resolution and avoided this review.

Meatheads all the way, treat customers like a buy here pay here, non franchised business. My good friend purchased a Certified Pre Owned 2019 Volvo XC60 a few weeks ago and the dealer promised to fix issues upon the sale that were pointed out on the test drive. When she returned, it was dark out and they said it was fine. She said no, that it needed to be fixed right and said they would take care of it. The Salesperson, Kevin McGrath said to bring it back later that week but when she arrived, the service department attempted to charge her for repairs that were promised for free, then he pushed her off to the Finance Manager AJ Riley and then to Jameson Riley, whose name is on the store, and said that they would cancel the deal in an email. Then the check engine light came on and when she asked for help, he said to bring it to another dealer and would no longer buy it back. What kind of so called "General Manager" does that? None of the repairs were done, there is a damaged wheel still, a tire missing a piece of the sidewall, shoddy body repairs and terrible treatment along the way. As a CPO Volvo, all reconditioning was supposed to have been done before it was presented to the customer, according Volvo Cars NA CPO guidelines. In addition, the Area Manager from the OE was supposed to inspect these cars also. It appears this was a fresh lease return that was brought up front, promised to be free of issues, but they scrambled to make a deal for the sake of a sale. This was not front line ready and they know it, just using their typical NADA training with PHD (Poppa Had Dealership) background to get over on a female customer. Sadly, they messed with the wrong girl. Complaints to follow in all mediums until amatuer hour for Voice of the Customer is resolved.

We never have had problems with Toyotas for almost 20 yrs. Last year we also bought Certified used Volvo XC60 and a year after the AC broke. We didn't expect it from a "Volvo" car. Thanks God, Ashley, our Service advisor is great. Love the texting service with her. Can't wait to test how great their Service Department is on next visit to see if it was worth paying "extended warranty coverage".

Wow, is all I can say. The car salespeople I dealt with are terrible. They don't respond for days, give you fake pricing and are a headache to work with. I would avoid this dealership, unless you like wasting time and getting a deal pulled or changed last minute. I rather walk then lease a car from this place. Avoid!! Brianna: No need to respond, this dealership is an embarrassment. If only the dealership responded as fast as Briana. No need to continue with this place.

I want this location to know that they need to improve their courtesy and cheerfulness in their customer service. I wanted to bring my car to this location since I live so close for servicing. Time and time again they are dismissive and not customer oriented at all. Nicolas however is great -he was very courteous and responsive. I was so turned off by my other past interactions that I reached out to another car service center

Treat women very differently than men. I was talked over and down to, ignored, rushed, and was given the rapid fire jargon meant to scare. My husband called and was listened to, had a calm conversation, and a much more reasonable outcome in under a minute. Very gross behavior. My husband is by no means an expert, and yet I was belittled and ignored because I am not one, despite fully understanding what was wrong with our volvo. A dead battery. I don't deserve this treatment. If you are a man and are comfortable condoning this behavior, it seems you'll get help and acceptance without needing to be a mechanic yourself. If you are a woman, be prepared to be made to feel like an idiot for even attempting discuss your vehicle without being an expert mechanic yourself. Disgusting.
