AWFUL hotel on all levels! I would give it zero stars if I could. Staff were SO rude and unprofessional. Room was run down and smelled. Avoid this place! You could not pay me to ever come back!

This night was a complete disaster, we were assigned room 753 and NO hot water , then when we complained we were moved to room 504 which I must say is TORN up , and only had ALMOST warm water , I must say it’s 16 degrees outside , so this is beyond unbelievable, after contacting a few other hotels we had no option to stay and take that cold shower , HORRIBLE , our check out is at 11am we checked in at 2am but we will be leaving as soon as we can , I asked front service who I can speak to about refund and she said manager comes in at AM so we were forced to stay . Unbelievable, people spend the extra few bucks on all the other options in stamford we wish we would have just done it , this place is horrible .

I stayed at the Stamford Hotel two separate nights during my recent trip back to Connecticut to see family. I stayed in the accessible room with a walk-in shower. I used the mini fridge, which is hidden under the big television. A microwave would've been nice, but I don't think that they have accessible rooms with them. The little convenience store in the lobby came in handy. They sell protein bars, cold brew coffee, candy, and travel-sized toiletries. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food smelled good. They do not have room service, for which I'm deducting a star. I ordered delivery via an app so that I could chill in my room in my pajamas while eating. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. The view from my room was epic. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I slept well.

From a cursory inspection the hotel seems quite nice. The lobby is spacious and well furnished, the front desk crew was very nice and informative, the location is pretty fantastic— just a short drive to Metro-North. The bed is great, although it does require a ladder if you’re under-tall.But the devil they say is in the details, if you look (not too) closely this hotel you see that it is very much past her prime. In the lobby, the furnishings are chipped and peeling, there is a mysterious “stop work” order from an inspector on a door — from 2021!!! The pool was out of service, according to a notice at the front desk and even more concerning one of the elevators had a busted fire key.The rooms are well appointed, but the furnishings are chipped and/or missing parts, peeling wallpaper and broken tiles complete the look. The included “wellness breakfast” was quite sad, and while cooked to order it was sparse and unappealing.Overall it served its purpose, I slept decently and there was covered parking ($20 day, with in/out) and its proximity to transit and dining options give it points. We paid $180 (+tax and $100 dep) - cheaper than the city so that’s a win, but overall not a great value.

Bed…. 5 stars. Very comfortable.HVAC control….5 stars….very customizable….appreciated the air purifier.Furnishings …. 3 stars. I liked what was in the room….i just wish it had been in better condition. The elevators were clean but there was some damage in one. The lobby looks nice.Bathroom…..1 star…. The shower took a good 10 minutes to heat up. The shower door was very difficult to close. It was not off the rack. It just needed to be lubricated.Service…..2 stars. The staff that checked us in was Very pleasant. When we came back that evening, the bartender was having an issue and gave us very little attention. He gave us a hot bottle of champagne… We had to ask someone else for a bucket full of ice to cool it down. He was too busy, trying to trace down guest that had walked out without signing for their check to give us any attention at all. The rest of the staff was no more interested in this either.Amenities…..1 star. The breakfast… Which I got for free because I stayed in a wellness room… Is normally $12. It reminded me of a Covid era breakfast service. It was not worth it. The food was ok but unsatisfying. The location is great. A five minute Lyft to the train station or downtown Stratford dining. The honest answer is that, even though there were things I like about the hotel, I probably would not choose to stay here again.

It gets two stars for location and front desk service otherwise would get zero if I could .I stayed at Sheraton before and it was much nicer. It’s stale , tired , soulless, moldy and absolutely non welcoming. I guess if you need a bed to sleep because you are tired I get it and if you need to get to Stamford venues it’s walking distance but for that reason alone they should up their game .

Good hotel, good price, not quite perfect. We were driving to NYC, stopped for the night. Common areas are quite impressive, rooms are good, but a little worn - wallpaper starting to peel, woodwork a little beaten up, etc. However, beds were comfortable, room was clean, location was good, and I would go back again.

The people are incredible, and the service is fantastic. The rooms are clean and have a decent amount of space. The location was convenient to my office and Stamford Town Center, and both my employer and I thought the price was fair.Special shoutout to Chef Kellogg, Bartender Jen, and Bartender Mo. I’ve never eaten so many meals at my hotel during a business trip, but their service was fantastic. There’s only one downside to the hotel — the bathrooms have doorless walk-in showers. It’s frustrating to have to warm up the bathroom with steam just so you can stay warm in the shower. The shower inconvenience is usually a deal-breaker for me, but I enjoyed the people so much that I’ll stay at The Stamford again.

Positively the worst customer service ever experienced. Website is unclear and when I called to get help, I was going to be charged an extra $100/room/night. Invoice unclear and, again, when I called for information, I got the most lackluster, uninterested person giving me more unclear information. I finally got the info I needed and she practically hung up on me. Avoid this hotel.

The hotel was nice. Entry, lobby, and parking were all great. Room could use some basic repairs, peeling wallpaper, etc. the staff was wonderful and bartender was really nice. My only complaint was I stayed on a Tuesday and ordered a burger from the bar for a quick dinner after traveling all day. It took 59 minutes to get my burger and then my fries were wrong (were supposed to be sweet potato). The bartender felt bad so he gave me a free glass of wine for my wait. Other than that, I would stay again (just eat prior). The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. It was a lovely hotel and very convenient location.

Room was clean, although service needs improvement. We got late check out and paid for it when booking. We got a knock asking to clean our room hours before our check out. Then another cleaning person knocked on our door a second time, very suspicious of why we were still there and making us call customer service ourself to clarify our late check out. Very disappointed in the miscommunication. The manager did fix the issue with us when we went downstairs to check out. Breakfast was great and the chef was very nice. If you’re looking for a standard affordable room this is the place. Parking and breakfast is not included but not extremely expensive in my opinion. You do have to bring your parking ticket to the desk to pay which we didn’t clearly see. I think though the communication with cleaning staff needs to be improved. A decent basic hotel if you need it for a night or two.

So, If I could give a negative number I would. The staff was nice but the hotel is run down, dirty, and outdated. The furniture in the rooms is beaten up, watermarks on the ceiling from previous leaks, burn marks on the carpets, wallpaper coming off the walls, broken tiles in the bathroom, and watermarks on multiple walls. Breakfast is expensive and NOT good, I would argue unedible. The breakfast and bar area was dirty, the floors were sticky, the tables were not clean and the coffee was coffee-flavored water.I wonder if the hotel is for sale and the current ownership group is going to demo it? Most of the lamps were unplugged when we checked in, tried to call the front desk and the phone recording said this number could not be reached. The pool area has a massive echo. I provide this feedback for anyone coming and hopefully, the hotel staff can make some adjustments. Thank you,

Horrible place to stay. Rooms are disgusting, everything is super old. Breakfast was served without gloves. Had to throw away my food because the man hardly used a spatula. He cooked it in front of me putting his hands all over my food. He was super nice but that was absolutely disgusting. Walls are falling apart. TV screen was broken. Uncleaned dishes sitting all over the place in the dinning area. What a mess….Rooms: Disgusting, old, tearing apart, cheap.Nearby activities: Theres nothing but the gym and pool and a taco bell.Food & drinks: Expensive and grossNoteworthy details: Overall rating -78/10

For a city hotel in the middle of Stamford, this should be a nicer place to stay. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are cramped and the TV is way too small by today's standards. There are no movie channels nor a guide and the reception is inconsistent. Our toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor so we got an "upgrade" to the tenth floor. The only difference between that room and the first room was a bottle of water, a Kind bar and an air filter. Seriously? The staff was very professional, the bed comfortable and the room clean. I won't be back.

CHECK EVERYTHING.... I pulled the covers back to settle in for the evening, noticed there was strands of hair. Pulled the bedding back more to find brownish smudged stains on the sheets. It was unsanitary and absolutely disgusting!! There was no hot water and the door to the shower was broken. Getting pass the semi cold water and the broken shower door was easy but the soiled sheets ...No! Unacceptable! Take your chances but as for me it's a never again and I wish I would have read these reviews before booking because it would have saved me from this terrible experience. Sidenote...Honestly speaking The Department of Health should really pay The Stamford Hotel a visit.Rooms: Dirty!CHECK EVERYTHING....
