The wheelchair boardwalk is extensive and lovely! Ironically the start of Trail 7 is currently inaccessible, making it unsafe and painful. Looks like the gravel wore away. Please maintain this part or consider a permanent threshold ramp solution, so the Wheel in the Woods is truly wheelable 🙂 I look forward to coming back again.

Beautiful and fun place to visit. As soon as you arrive you prompt to purchase your ticket at the gate. You cab pay with cash or card. The entrance fee is definitely worth it for all you get to see and explore. There is a lot to do (museum, hikes, walk path, animals to see and much more). I recommend spending 2-3 hours there.

I love coming here. The place is nice, but the treatment you receive at the entrance from the old lady is terrible all the time. I come here 2 to 3 times a week. The young people who receive the tickets are always very friendly, but the lady always has a horrible temper. She thinks that the entrance is free. They have to check the staff they hire carefully, because it is the first impression you get when you arrive at a place.

We are full-time wedding and engagement photographers, and we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding reception at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center on an April day with a wonderful couple. We arrived at the picturesque location after a church ceremony, and the property immediately stood out as having so many special spots to take photos. From walkways and fence lines to beautiful trees and the barn, there’s even a waterfall and pond plus the beautiful buildings. The indoor space was lovely and perfect for the intimate evening. Everything was well maintained and high end. Everyone loved it all from what we could see, and the couple was very happy with the wedding and how the photos came out. Our thanks to the considerate and attentive staff, too! We hope to be back in the future to photograph more memorable weddings.

VERY rude staff- especially at the south enterance gate. We are from out of town and they changed their hours then locked us in the gate and forced us to go down a road that was one way. Glad another car didn’t come in & hit us. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
