Disastrous Experience at Toyota of Stamford - Beware of Fraudulent Credit Card Charges!I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Toyota of Stamford, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. My initial excitement about purchasing a new vehicle quickly turned into frustration and disappointment as I discovered that this dealership engaged in fraudulent credit card practices.Firstly, I provided my credit card information for what I believed to be a routine transaction for a down payment on a Toyota vehicle. Little did I know that this seemingly reputable dealership would exploit my trust and engage in blatant credit card fraud. To my shock, unauthorized charges began appearing on my credit card statement shortly after my visit to Toyota of Stamford. These charges were not only unauthorized but also completely unrelated to any legitimate transaction. It's evident that the dealership mishandled my sensitive financial information, leading to an egregious breach of trust. Attempts to resolve the issue with the dealership's customer service were met with indifference and unresponsiveness. It's disheartening to see a company of Toyota's stature fail so miserably in addressing customer concerns and taking responsibility for their actions. Furthermore, the overall customer service experience at Toyota of Stamford was lackluster. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, providing little assistance when confronted with the serious issue of credit card fraud. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this dealership. In conclusion, my experience with Toyota of Stamford has been nothing short of a disaster. From the fraudulent credit card charges to the apathetic customer service, this dealership has failed to live up to even the most basic standards of integrity and professionalism. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise extreme caution and consider alternative dealerships with a more reliable reputation. This ordeal has left a lasting negative impression, and I would strongly discourage anyone from trusting Toyota of Stamford with their financial information.

Professional staff. Great atmostphere to wait in. Everyone is friendly and has an upbeat attitude. There is no pressure to buy here they work with you to prioritize your repair needs. If you have a problem with your toyota the techs are top notch in diagnosing.

Today I accompanied my friend to purchase a car. Well I have my own vehicle so I came with my game face. So I look at reviews and I was a bit skeptical however look at things for yourself. We was greeted so well at the door felt like home when we walked in. We was approached by this nice handsome lol ok let me stop this guy Errol Reid. He attended to us with patience kindness and understanding. These days you don't get much of that. People is about what is it for them. Errol Reid really help us the long hours we had to spend in the establishment. The business lady the money money lady she took care of us when quotes started sharing she listened to our heart and she took extra time because it was my friends first car. She answered so many of our questions and we laughed at my witty sense of humor. I would refer all my friends who's looking to by a Toyota go to Stamford Toyota and enjoy what I experience today. I say thank you my friend drove off the lot satisfied.

Do not buy a car from this dealership! They contacted me in June of '23 to advise me a new Electric Hybrid Rav4 I was interested in was available, so my wife and I stopped by to see it. The salesman was excellent, but the sales manager, John Linn, perhaps the most unprofessional sales manager I have ever encountered, killed the sale. After signing all the paperwork, transferring insurance, &c., and purchasing the car, I was informed that they only had one key to give me as Toyota was "short of key fob chips." I believe Mr. Linn had coached the staff not to provide full disclosure, so the absence of a second key was only brought to my attention after I purchased the car. When I protested this by asking what to do if I lost a key or it malfunctioned, Mr. Linn told me to my face, "That's your problem; you now own the car." His rudeness set me off, and I embarrassed him by ensuring his entire staff knew what I thought of his unprofessional response. Enraged, he had the paperwork torn up and the sale was killed. A wasted four hour and horrible experience. I wrote to Toyota's North American Sales Manager and their President about Mr. Linn's conduct and received a response telling me their hands were tied as the dealership was privately owned. Toyota's Rav4 Hybrid (we own another we purchased hassle-free from AutoNation without Toyota of Stamford's $9K "dealer prep fee) is an excellent car, but this dealership, under Mr. Linn's management, is the worst. I'll return to AutoNation, who will deliver the car to my door and pocket the $9K savings.

If I could I would give this place negative stars, I went there for service, I was given a quote for service over the phone just to get to my appointment and find out the quote was for nothing because I was charged almost double, my car has under 25K which is considered almost a brand new car. But that didn't matter to them because my oil change came around to almost 400.00 which is insane, not only that I was also quoted on tires at roughly 1,150.just for me to get there and be charged almost 1,500 which includes and inspection that nobody asked for but yet added 200.00 to my total. Which is also not disclosed until the end because if they did then nobody would pay for it. I used to like coming here for service. My family has always bought from this place. But in the last few years not only has their sales team gotten very sketchy and just the plain definition of dishonest. But their service department has also gone down the drain. Jim M. Has been the only person that has properly taken care of me. Unfortunately I haven't been able to be attended by him again. Oh also don't go there if you happen to have any sort of time restrains and set aside between 3-6 hours for basic service to get done... yeah their wait time is absolutely disgusting and at some point almost disrespectful. Just Don't go there overall. You can find better cars, deals and even service anywhere else

OUTRAGEOUS PRICING ON PARTSI rented a Toyota Camry while my car was being fixed. Great pickup at my repair shop. Car ran well, no issues - no issues until I got a flat. I called Toyota rental and told them. I was told if there was a hole they could put in a plug. I stopped at Town Fair to check the problem - tire rim was not fixable - my fault. I asked them to replace the tire -- This was done for $160 balanced and I was back on the road. I told Toyota, and they asked if I put in the exact tires that were on the car.. I checked, answer no. Apparently is necessary - my bad, lesson learned. On returning the car I was told the new tire, matching the other three, would be $380 balanced and mounted. This sounded very high. Toyota changed the price to $340, which I paid. I checked back with Town Tire for the exact make, model and specs of the tire, balance and mounted - $220 (and Town Tire makes a profit at that price) and Toyota charges 50% more on the part, EXACT same part. GO ELSEWHERE

I had a very good experience with my service here. The service advisor Jim was very helpful and kept me updated the entire time. The repair was done quickly under warranty and they even provided a loaner vehicle. Big thanks to Dave, Jim, and Jamie for the help!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I just called to get a price for a transmission drain and fill. JUST THE TRANNY DRAIN AND FILL, NOTHING ELSE. They quoted me $499.99 for a full flush, as that’s all they do. I nearly fell over. I asked if they at least change the filter and they said no. They didn’t even ask how many miles I have on it ( 140k) so you actually DON’T want to do a full flush on a car with that many miles. I called A1 Toyota, and was quoted $249 for a drain and fill, and $429 for the tranny, both diffs and transfer case oil change. I bought both my Toyotas from Stamford Toyota but they just lost a customer and A1 gained one!

This dealership does not deliver on what they are supposed to do. When purchasing a car they do not provide all the information they are supposed and as such my after experience with them was horrific and that's putting it mildly. I purchased a 2021 Toyota Venza 4 months ago from them. The car came with a warranty that covers the struts and brake. I took the car back to them affter hearing a sound. They checked and claimed they found nothing wrong. The sound however continued and was being heard in other areas. I took it back to the shop. the Mechanic there then told me after taking it for a drive that it was the tires or struts. Because they could not fully identify what was the issue. I took the car to a front-end specialty shop. The workers there told me it was not safe to drive the car like this because at this point it began to vibrate; The mechanic at the specialty shop then informed me that the struts were not good and that is what was causing the issue, he also stated that this is what caused my tires to go bad. After going back to Toyota to explain to them about what was discovered they still refused to assist me
