Been coming here for years. I wouldn't recommend them. Unfortunately my dog is 13 now and. Seems like when your doing any exams it's you the owner who has to tell them where everything is. I've done exams and when I send her with my wife they seem to miss things if you don't point them out. They have also gotten very expensive..

Avoid this vet at all costs unless you are ok with sky rocketing costs here. The doctors are awesome but even they aren’t sure why all the costs of their services have gone up except for the fact that they are now part of a very large corporation. I was recently charged $71 for my dog’s anal glands. A simple procedure that is done by a technician which takes about 5 minutes. The cost of this procedure has gone up astronomically over the past few years. Every few months they add a few dollars to this service. In the summer of was $66. Not it’s $71. When I spoke to the hospital manager all he could tell me is that price of “things” have gone up. When I asked to speak with someone in the corporate office about policies around price hikes, he said he wasn’t sure who to connect me with and he was the person to speak with. When I mentioned that it didn’t seem as if he had an understanding for what I was asking, he got very upset and said I had offended him. I’m not really sure where to go with this kind of response after being a loyal customer for 5 years. I’ve also referred friends who have become clients. Greenwich/stamford, vets are a dime a dozen, don’t bother with this place. They seem to be more interested in the money grab than keeping your animal as a client. It’s too bad because their docs are wonderful..

These 5 stars are for Dr. Gordon, Nicolette and Rose, who were so kind, caring and compassionate during the most heart-breaking, devastating time of my life... having to let my beautiful, sweet, smart and perfect baby girl rest. I will forever love and miss my Beauty girl, and I will always be grateful for Dr. Gordon, Nicolette and Rose for all their kindness towards me. Thank you so much ladies. XOXO

I'm genuinely appalled over how rude some of the staff are at this establishment, I literally just received a phone call over a payment that didn't go through and the man over the phone rudely spoke over me, had a sassy attitude and started interrogating me about it as if people who struggle with money DON'T exist. Like, god forbid I needed that money for food this week and that's why it's declining (which is the actual reason WHY it's declining.)Like, yeah, I understand it's frustrating the payment didn't go through but who in their right mind would want to miss a payment? Unfortunately not all of us can afford a monthly vet bill and I just barely scrape through affording to.But this isn't even the first or only time the professionalism at this establishment had me taken aback, I was also misinformed about the subscription and I quote "you can cancel at any time." Is what I was told by a staff, which is okay, I understand maybe she didn't know and didn't want to intentionally cause long-term problems. But then reading the fine print I questioned if it was entirely true, and proceeded with it. Because it was all we could afford at the time with our dog passing away so abruptly. But then there's also the situation when our dog passed and the woman was handing us his ashes only for her to be giggling and laughing when she did while my husband and I were standing there with our eyes filled in tears. Like, I don't understand, are they not informing their staff on how to speak to people and or not giving them the information they need to properly give accurate information to their guests? I don't know, and honestly, all these things make me just want to take my business elsewhere once the subscription is over. And mind you, the subscription is for a dog that HAS ALREADY PASSED to add salt into the wound.

Hands down one of the best veterinary practices I’ve been to. I adopted a pregnant stray cat and they were with her from day one. All her kittens survived and received, and continue to receive, attentive, gentle care. Moving away from CT the hardest thing to find an adequate replacement for is this practice. In particular, Dr. Schmidt is everything you want in a doctor looking after our most vulnerable of charges—patient, understanding, thorough in her care and genuinely interested in the wellbeing of her patients.

They are just trying to run you for your money here they will offer a million different things to do with your animal and by the end you almost didnt realized they’re just trying to see how far your wallet will go

Doctors are nice however staff is not, they are way overpriced!!! I've been taking my dog there for 3 years and I was able to make payments over time, all of a sudden they changed that rule and it was informed to me rudely! Also was told if I can't afford it to take him somewhere else!! It's ok because I have a few friends that go there and I will pass this message along and we will ALL go somewhere else!!

The office management is horrible with no customer service skills whatsoever. I inquired about over billing for my pet (which appears to happen a lot) and I was told by Peter the office manager that they will just sent the bill to collections… Versus identifying the overcharge. I do not recommend THEM!

Stealing hard working peoples money because they care for their pets

Vets and techs are great and seem to care a lot about our dogs, however we had a bad experience with one of the receptionists, as she was handing us the ashes of our beloved cookie she said "I'm sorry for your loss" but started to laugh a bit before finishing saying it. I don't know why she did but i don't think it came from a place of light heartedness as she seemed kind of miffed at me before doing so, i don't know if i did something to upset her or what as i always try to be polite as possible, but i do have a bit of social anxiety so people sometimes get the wrong idea i think, either way it's not really an excuse to laugh when you are handing someone their cremated loved one. This isn't really a reason not to go to this vet since what really matters is how the vets treat your pets, but it's probably something to keep in mind if you are in a delicate situation and don't want to be shocked while you are leaving.

Love visiting Dr. Gordon for my vet visits. As a dog lover, she makes pet care easy to understand for new owners. Make appointments in advance and sign up for the care club. You won’t be disappointed!

VCA is unorganized and inconsistent. I have recently made a transition from this practice after being mislead regarding the care of my dogs. It is very apparent they are fiscally driven as they try to push every product, vaccine, medicine, etc. on to you. Both of my dogs are girls and they refer to them as boys which exposes a lack of care and interest in their patients. Recently, I went because my dog had an issue with her leg - I was told I need to do blood work for her leg in order to get medicine. They came back with the medicine and told me to give it to her when I got home. I said, do you have the blood work back? They said no, they will get it back tomorrow and will call me which makes no sense from a methodology standpoint. If you're new to the area and in need of a vet look elsewhere.

We’ve had a terrible experience with Dr. Gordon. We took our 7 yr old morkie in to be seen for a limp only to be told we aren’t caring for her properly. (Paying $1200 for an X-ray qualifies as caring pet owners in my book) She is rude, condescending and unprofessional. We’ve seen other vets here and had a much better experience. Sincerely disappointed with how Dr. Gordon has treated our family.

Drs Gordon, Berkowitz, Scott & others (vets & staff) were great over the decades. Today's unimaginably negative experience makes it clear: not returning. Today they were beyond disappointing and just plain rude. They presumed & assumed my question for a vet; based on guessing- I was lectured and lectured and lectured- without the opportunity to speak my one question. weird. & I was told the vet was in busy "in sessions" till 9 PM today and will call me at nine; but that was not true -the vet stopped at 8. I did errands until 850pm and then waited for the 9 PM call- which never happened. Long story short - after today's experiences - I won't return there. awful. disappointed is an understatement I'd gone for decades. today was awful.
