Had my first haircut with Eric today, after the previous place I went to closed. Eric was absolutely fantastic. Super friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Made me feel like I mattered as a client. I will be back! Thank you, Eric!

First time customer left a little perplexed. Receptionist asked me if I wanted something to drink and clearly forgot. In the middle of the service I was asked to pay. The Receptionist was leaving for the day. Granted it was a Saturday but if your in the salon/ hospitality / people business you stay until the last person leaves. I paid for a master cut and got anything but. Two snips ( Face Framing ) mmm okay. lol I've had expensive master cuts at super posh salons and this wasn't even close to one. It wasn't even a cut. Last but not least I had to go out the back door because the front door was locked & there wasn't a key to be found. Funny thing was I had to listen to the lock up procedure over and over again. I could have locked up and let myself out. This wasn't worth $235. But on the flipside if you looking for a fast get away there's a back alley! lol

My hairdresser changed salons. Erik is outstanding in taming curls and letting them look their best.The salon is lovely, clean and has a fantastic view.

The services are great, but I will not be coming back as I heard a bunch of the staff had Covid and did not touch base with me or close the business down for the mandatory two weeks. Bethany is horrible almost always and has been rude to customers and other staff members right in front of me. Disgraceful. Hopefully something changes but too late for this patron.

This location is absolutely stunning, every service I have gotten done there has been to perfection! the providers are wonderful and the front desk staff is always warm and welcoming. The prices are fair considering its a luxury salon with highly trained professionals and they do their job spectacularly every single time. I cant say enough about what a great place this is.

Let me start this review by saying that I have been a long time customer (~10 years) of Rob Rivers at their Mystic, CT location. in general, I have found them to be mostly professional, skilled and contemporary. But my opinion recently changed. Let me also say that I am a career scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, with a PhD and 20+ years of experience; and, as most people with my background in this small geography, I was once (but not currently) employed by Pfizer. In my recent visit to this salon, I had the distinct pleasure of having my stylist explain to me - multiple times - how and why the COVID vaccine doesn't work. Now, of course, I most certainly know better - and would pit my scientific education and expertise in drug development against hers every day (and twice on Sundays) - but in a geography in which the developer of the pre-eminent COVID vaccine is literally right in your backyard, I find this to be (at best) bad business and (at worst) downright insulting. After giving my stylist my best "death stare" (as my husband calls it), she continued to rant on political topics until I literally could barely leave without causing a scene. Having great, brilliant friends who have worked on COVID programs at Pfizer (and who have also historically been clients of this salon AND who have also heard the same political BS mumbo-jumbo that I heard while also spending their hard-earned money for these "premium services"), I take great personal offense to a local business who is quite literally tone deaf to our current climate. Personally, I no longer choose to patronize businesses who so blatantly allow their employees to use their chair to spread their ignorant, politically-motivated viewpoints. Thanks to the supreme court - and a bakery that didn't want to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual couple - businesses have the right to do business with whomever they choose, and this business has clearly decided where to put their stake in the sand. As a consumer, I have the option of voting with my pocketbook, but want to make sure that other consumers are empowered by the same information so they can likewise make their own decision. People are dying every day because of the spread of ignorant dis-information and I am, quite frankly, done.

Had my first appointment with Britany at the Mystic location. What a beautiful place and such a wonderful experience, Britany was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. She asked me questions about my transition, I’m embracing what the sands of time are dumping on me, Britany made great suggestions while being mindful of my mission. The results were amazing

Have been going there for a number of years now. Edward cuts my hair ,he is absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend him, he used to be at the Red Door Spa and I went to him there as well
