About The Velvet Mill
The Velvet Mill is a wonderful old New England mill built in 1888, now repurposed as an eclectic group of businesses. It is filled with unique shops and cafes, art studios, vintage shops, boutiques, eateries, a brewery, and more. There is so much to see and explore, including a farmers’ market outside during the summer and inside during the winter. It is a great place to visit and a great experience for anyone, with interesting stock and right prices. There is ample parking and easy entrances, plus space to host events. Shops have different hours, so planning ahead is encouraged. The wide common space accommodates community events like an indoor flea or farmers market. It is pet-friendly. A noted downside for some is a powerful odor, described as the smell of CBD oils, that can permeate the area.

5.3.26 Free parking. Huge indoor facility refurbished to now host art gallery, retail, eateries, a brewery etc. We walked all around exploring this area as we had no idea it would be this big. We ate at Whitecrest and enjoyed our visit overall.

SO COOL. We came in from out of town for the brewery but walked around and explored for quite a bit. There are so many small businesses in here! Wish we had something like this closer to home.

Cute space! We visited on a Thursday and not much was open unfortunately. Dog friendly. Local small businesses
