I have refrained from posting a review after many bad experiences at this post office but today I had enough. I will preface this by giving examples as to what has happened in the past - USPS mail carrier hit my mailbox and split the post completely in half, packages being left on the side of the road leaning against the post box in the rain (mailbox is across the street from my actual home), put multiple requests in for mail forwarding and never receiving forwarded mail, scheduled for an expensive package to be held at the Mystic office but it was delivered to the mailbox instead. Visited the office multiple times and have been treated with annoyance. I have never complained about any of these instances. Today’s incident was just the tipping point for me. I purchased two money orders from them last week. While in the office, they had difficulty getting the second one to print. They tried at least 15 times to get it to work. Finally it printed. When I deposited the two money orders, the second one was declined and was reported as an “invalid check.” I returned to the post office the next day and the manager, who was new, didn’t know how to help me and asked that I come back when the post master was in. I came back today and the girl that ran my money orders was in again. She tried to tell me that the reason it didn’t work was because I can’t cash a money order payable to myself. I told her that was incorrect as I do it all the time and showed her the other money order I cashed that was written out to myself. She then said it was because I didn’t fill out the address portion, to which I told her I never do and am always able to deposit just fine. She rolled her eyes and sighed and went to get a man who I assume is a manager. They gave me the cash for the money order but I said I didn’t need the cash, I needed a new money order. Again, they were so bothered by this. Why would I need the cash when I purchased a money order WITH THE CASH. I needed a money order! This boggled their minds. They then said they would have to charge me the $2.35 fee AGAIN. The fee that I already paid for an INVALID money order. I said I would not pay the fee again and that that didn’t make any sense. Why should I have to pay again when the fault was with them? They refused to honor the fee that was already paid. Suffice it to say, I will not be returning to this office.

John, the head clerk (I think) at the Mystic Post Office was SO helpful to me the first time I had to do a bulk mailing for work. I had no idea what I was doing and he patiently explained the whole process to me, then helped more when I came back with the mail bins and even helped me carry them out of my car. Excellent customer service! Someone give this guy a raise. Thanks, John!

Honestly, the employees at this post office have been the best USPS employees I've ever dealt with! Always helpful, patient and informative. Would highly recommend!

Package lost here. I ordered something on eBay almost a month ago and it's been "Picked Up" ever since. Tried doing a lost package fourm and my local post office responded instead of Mystic because the people at Mystic don't want to answer. Tried calling the USPS phone number and same thing happened once again. Why doesn't this office and Pittsburgh PA shut down or get better management?

This is a very good office with friendly helpful employees. Unfortunately a single mail carrier has made dealing with USPS a nightmare. This carrier does not like to deliver packages from Amazon. Instead of delivering packages, they claim that our mailbox was obstructed. I can understand not delivering if the mailbox can't be accessed. However I have video camera surveillance that shows no attempt was made to deliver and the mailbox was not obstructed. This has happened many times despite the fact that intentionally delaying mail delivery is illegal. When UPS was delivering Amazon packages we never had a problem. It is a shame that the reputation of a hard working group is sullied by a rogue worker who doesn't share their same values.They are still at it. They claimed that they attempted delivery, today. However I was home and the video camera proves that no attempt was made. The sender was supposed to send it via reliable UPS not USPS! The difference in service is hard to believe.UPDATE 2yrs later.We are still having the same ongoing issues! This is like a Japanese Tea Ceremony. We order from Amazon, package doesn't arrive, notification USPS says "driveway blocked," we call to say we have video showing unrestricted access at all times. We end up picking up the package if they haven't already sent it back. What is so frustrating is that there is nothing we can do. We have filed complaints over and over with the same result. We have been told off the record that they really don't have any way of dealing with underperforming employees who aren't breaking laws or HR rules. A private company could never survive if they performed at this level.

Great Local Post office. Efficient and pleasant service. Limited parking 3 Spaces in front. You can park on street just before post office.

Wade at the post office was so helpful! Answered my phone call right away, and immediately solved my mail mystery. Couldn't be happier, my carrier was so sweet.
