I usually prefer Walgreens. But this time I had to pick up prescriptions for my bf who just had surgery.
It’s been a tough time, and then to pick up his prescriptions because he’s bedridden, to be told “I need all the paperwork related to his work injury” the evening shift pharmacist Edward Igiebor was not courteous at all is very rude and dismissive, just sounds like you’re wasting his precious time with questions about information that you’re not sure about, when all you’re looking for is to pick up some medicine for a person just out of surgery and you’re trying to pay out of pocket because of the whole headache. Terrible customer service and truly a waste of time. Hope to never be back here again.

I don’t typically post reviews like this, but after today’s experience, I feel it’s necessary to share. The customer service at CVS on Barnum was absolutely terrible. The pharmacist on duty was rude, unable to explain why my husband’s prescription couldn’t be refilled, ignored me, and even yelled at me. To make matters worse, this whole ordeal wasted two hours of my day.
If more people took the time to leave reviews or file complaints, perhaps employees like this would reconsider how they treat customers.
On a positive note, I want to thank the kind Puerto Rican girl with glasses (I regret not getting her name) who stepped in to explain what was going on and how to resolve the issue. She was the only respectful and helpful person during my visit.
P.S. If you’ve had similar experiences, I encourage you to file a complaint by calling 1-800-SHOP-CVS (1-800-746-7287). Let’s make sure our voices are heard.

The absolute worst, as of August 2024. Starting with the phone; so much static on the phone line that you can't get the phone menu to work correctly. They are out of very common medications and they won't lift a finger to find generics or availability at other stores. Today, 8/12, there were about 15 people waiting on line...... I'm switching to Walgreens. CVS is awful!

I can not believe that this place is still in business. Sitting here for the third time today. 1st time closed for lunch ok. Second time the person in front of me decided to ignore the sign stating drive through is closed and waits there for 20 minutes leaving me stuck in the drive through. I go in there are 12 people in line. Here now. Drive through still closed been waiting another 25 minutes. What a joke.

Pharmacist gave an extremely difficult time to get diabetic items (needles) for my sister during a snow storm talking about full price. Which I did. Sister ended up going to hospital anyways for DKA. Understand there's a level of doing your job, but also very unnecessary with all the questions and giving the second degree. Also had to show the actual vial of insulin which he still was giving issue to. Lives be at stake and ppl want to play around.

If I could give zero stars for the unprofessional, rudeness of the pharmacist that was working at this location this morning giving flu shots, I would. My mom had a 10:00 appointment to get a flu shot. When we arrived, the lady at first could not find the appointment, but then in further checking, she said she found it. She had us wait over in this very small area that only had two chairs and a screen dividing the chairs. After a few minutes, the other lady that was already there stated to us that she had been waiting there an hour to get her flu shot. We asked her if she had an appointment and she said no. The pharmacist finally comes out, gives the other lady her shot and after a few minutes, calls out another name that's not my mom. So I asked him if he had my mom's name for a 10:00 appointment and he says "well it's 10:23, geez." I said exactly my point. My mom had an appointment and we're still here. He goes and checks with the initial lady who checked us in and comes back calling that other name again! I asked again about my mom and he gets smart again. I told that jerk "I only have one request ... watch your tone." Meanwhile, he's still trying to find my mom's appointment and while he's doing that, my mom decides she'll just go elsewhere and we walked out.

The customer service at this Pharmacy is horrendous. I had to check 5 to 10 times on the computer system to try to figure out the prescription status. When this failed and I actually got through to the pharmacy and someone answered they told me they cannot take any calls and that I somehow bypassed the service and that I did something wrong, The pharmacist hung up on me before I could get any words out. I know things in the medical field are stressfull in this day and age but I've never experienced anything as horrible as this. I will change my prescription to a different Pharmacy as soon as possible. The pharmacist who hung up on me should not be in the field of helping vulnerable or sick people, you are a terrible person.

Usually pick up meds for my parents. The day staff in the pharmacy is pretty good. The night staff in the pharmacy is horrible. Rude; disregard for hippa. Staff including pharmacist more worried about going home than anything.

First time ever I had to give the Barnum Ave, Stratford a one star. Tried to contact a pharmacy representative but somehow CVS has actually made it more difficult. Staff is rude, they continue to talk to other staff members while you are being waited on. There is no such thing as multi tasking anymore, certainly not there. I thought i would be nice and call them up to change my insurance so we didn't have to go through it at check out, but the best you can do now is get a voice mail to leave a message. Are you kidding me????? My meds are ready but to do them a favor, I have to wait for a call back, not going to happen, they'll have to change it when I get there. Going to start getting my prescriptions sent to Rite Aid, the customer service is awesome, should be CVS closing stores, not Rite Aid.

These five stars are for the lone lady who was working by herself and was totally calm, kind and helpful to multiple customers.
I needed help finding an item and she was great.
Checkout was quick and easy.
Store clean, parking plentiful.
(Heheh, I really like CVS - can you tell?)

This location should close because that’s how valuable and efficient it is. The staff at the pharmacy is INCREDIBLY RUDE BEGINNING WITH THE PHARMACIST! I was a pharmacy technician in a past career and I can never imagine giving service the way this location has stay as far away as you can!
