This occurred around 3:30 pm on September 22nd 2024. The employees that were working became hostile towards me when I came in wanted to trade things in. One was gaming and not attending to customers and the other was telling me they did not know how to take in trades and were acting like they didn’t want to do any work. I use to manage multiple gamestops and these associates should of be fired on the spot.

Went into Gamestop in Stratford and two men were working. One of the employees who was wearing glasses was rude. He didn't welcome anyone who came to the store or was browsing and we overheard them discussing a customer who just called to ask a question criticizing and making fun of their question. We put our stuff down and left. This is the third time dealing with this unpleasant and unhappy employee.

While attempting to trade in a device with Gia at 8:40pm on 10/05/2023 at the Stratford, CT Gamestop , the employee refused to take a trade in claiming "it would make him stay late" and enforced a rule that was not posted anywhere, not in store or the website. He took a trade in right before me, however the rule was that they stop taking trade ins at 830pm. He actually took a trade in right before me, that obviously was not here within the cutoff. What a horrible experience. No one should ever attempt to trade in a device here. I would honestly like to see a sign posted somewhere so everyone can be informed of this "rule" so there is no confusion. Game Stop Stratford, stick to your own posted rules, not rules that people can not see. Thank you

me and my friend walked in and we placed our stuff on the counter and talked about something and this geeky dude with glasses and long hair , looks like a geek, asks us "what are we gonna do with these" obviously looking at the 70 dollars and 4 gift cards we placed on the counter, I say "buying them" and he wants to give me a mini lecture about "that's why you use your words" way to be a douchebag, prob why the store was so empty. his coworker was so beautiful and chill looking though.

I traded my unlocked phone with Kyle. I told him it’s unlocked but for some reason he picked other when it came to what service was on the phone. When he told me how much I would be getting back I said online gave me a different amount and some taller skinny guy said that’s the option that best fits. I didn’t hit me until after why there was a difference in the amounts. I don’t know what the point of that was but I do know, you might not want Kyle to help you cause he’ll make your choice for you.

Worst GameStop around. Went in for a new XBox X series controller. Employee was very pushy on trying to sell me a used one after I told him I wanted a new one. Continues to tell me that "well a new one is just a waste of money". I get they have to reach quotas within the store but don't tell me how I should spend my money. Then here comes the warranty for the controller that I didn't ask for. Everything is so pushed and the employees attitudes suck. I asked for "Call of Duty" also and they didn't even bother to let me know they didn't have it available in disc form. Just charged me and hands me a code on the receipt. Zero communication. All they care about is pushing their used stuff out the store and getting you hooked on whatever scam warranty they have. Will never go there again. Employees need training in how to speak to customers. Maybe the store wouldn't be empty like it was today.
