I’ve purchased two cars from Marc, about 20 years apart. His prices are fair, he and his crew are very knowledgeable and they stand behind what they sell with good service, Two thumbs up.

I should have listened to the reviews, instead we spoke to some referrals from Marc. I can't drive my car without the risk of the head gasket blowing up among other things and am trying to get the car returned. I will finish this review after we see how the story ends.

I had my MGB bodywork and paint done there. It took 3 months - when I picked it up there were sags, bubbles, and spots missing paint all over car. The owner Marc Evans said I was crazy and that's how black paint comes out. I've owned 3 black cars - this was a disaster. Within weeks the bodywork I was assured would be cut and welded was clearly given a bad bondo job and began to bubble up all over the car. Frankly I could of done a better job in my garage. I waited for a while to wash it - when I did the paint started flaking off. Wish I had read reviews before going there - it appears he has been fleecing people for years. What a cockroach -

I used one of their cars for an engagement shoot and I throughly enjoyed the car and patience/hospitality shown to make my engagement shoot one of the best. Thanks again Marc and Josh. I will definitely recommend! ?

Marc Evans is a thief, liar and a con artist. He belongs in prison. Under no circumstances should you trust a single word he says. Will say anything to rob you blind.

I paid over $20k for a 1980 MGB that was represented to be a low mileage car in excellent condition for local driving by my wife. The car arrived with a meaningful oil leak (1/2 quart of oil poured out upon pulling into the garage after delivery) and the car barely ran. After taking it to a shop specializing in British cars, I learned all four cylinders failed a compression check requiring a rebuild. They also highlighted significant issues with the wiring, brakes, exhaust and fuel system. They stated the vehicle mechanical condition was too poor to justify further work, and they suggested I buy something from the market to start from a better mechanical platform. The shop was not interested in working on the car I had purchased. Nothing I was told by Marc (owner of New England Classic Car Co) was true and pictures were misleading. I have ended up with a car that has no value beyond scrap. I sent a couple of messages to the company, but I never received a response to my complaints. There are many similar complaints online about this business, and I would like to help others be aware of their business practice. I had mentally moved on from this situation, but when I was shopping for a replacement MGB for my wife, I came across many online ads where this company is trying sell the same "story" that I had roped me into the purchase.

My experience with Marc Evans was a long time ago, but dreadful. Has he changed?

Be very very careful when dealing with this company. The owner is rude, snarky & blames everyone but himself for any issue or problems. My issues are numerous, & he seriously misrepresented the car I bought from him. Besides the mechanical issues the owner told me that he had a clear title for the vehicle & it is now almost 5 months since I received the vehicle & I still don't have a title. I sent him a note on the 20th & suggest he buy the car back he wrote back that he would "Love to have the car back & just respond & i would get my money back. I've accepted. He then tried to get me to tell him what it would take for me to keep the car. But after four days o reached out to him & he tried to again blame me for the problems & he wanted to have me to deliver the car before he paid me ... shady shady shady I have reported him to the consumer protection for the state of CT, BBB, & I now have an attorney. Before you consider buying from this guy please look very closely at other comments here & elsewhere

New England Classic Cars is a diamond in the roughThey have original and historic gems without the hype of a used classic car lot and internet auctions, which/whom disguise their vehicles with superfluous eye-candy and cover at concourse pricesGiving a visit is well worth anyone's time and you will find a classic or antique without suffering a mortgage relic from an internet used car lot

BEWARE! Bought a 74 Triumph TR6 that Mark bragged about it being rust free. Took it for inspection in Pa. Frame was entirely rusted out. Unsafe to drive, too expensive to fix. Called Mark and he said he did not remember selling it to me. Asked that I send him vin which I did along with sale date. Have not heard from him since.

I can only say buyer beware -- not everything is 'as advertised' and some sketchy things were done do the car before I purchased to accommodate my requests. My fault for not catching them upon delivery inspection - and after delivery when I pointed out my disappointment - there was NO RESPONSE or acknowledgement that some corners were cut (literally) I paid top dollar for a car but am stuck with a mediocre example. -

VERY unprofessional ! My sister was selling a mgb 1980 limited. Rare only made a little over 6,000. This car has no rust what so ever, runs great, just a few miner details. He takes it for a drive and say oh the overdrive doesn't work. My brother came over 2 hours laterbworks perfect. He say oh these cars are a dime a dozen. This guy is a CARNY gave her a low ball price. But when I checked his web site same car 16,900. Stay away this guy will scam you. He only has a 1 star rating with the BBB. AND THE CARNY IS NAMED MARC, HE WILL BEAT YOUR CAR UP AND TRY TO GIVE YOU PENNYS ON THE DOLLAR.
