Moved to Cheshire CT recently with my family. We required gas for our kitchen stove. Called Hocon, Karen was amazing and came out to visit our site, was a joy to interact with, explained the process, equipment, site requirements and lease vs own options. After consideration and calling many providers, we decided to go with Karen and Hocon. An appointment was made to install our tank and line. On the date of the appointment Phil, Cam and Alex showed up promptly at the beginning of their appointment window, escorted me around to go over the game plan for install and went to work. They worked with proficiency and cleanliness. In no time my tank was in place. On leaving we chatted casually in a manner that made me feel like family. Kudos to the entire staff at Hocon, we look forward to a long relationship.

Repairman was knowledgeable, courteous and quick to diagnose the problem. Did a great job fixing my three-month-old malfunctioning gas fireplace. Shared some of his expertise with me that will help in the future, if similar problems occur. All-around good experience.

I called for help when my propane fireplace would not light. A technician was finally able to come out but not for over a week. He only had to change the batteries which I supplied and I ended up with a $225 charge.

I recently purchased my new home and the staff at Hocon was very friendly and helpful. The service rep was extremely professional and explained everything that I needed to know about my fireplace.I would highly recommend Hocon Gas.

Right before Christmas we finally finished our long search for a gas fireplace insert. We had priced sets at 2 other places and the price was disappointing! At Hocon, Rich gave us straight answers that we could use a less expensive gas log set in our 80 year old fireplace. The process went smoothly and we had a fire glowing for Christmas! Kudos to all the Hocon elves!?

I switched to Hocon after buying our cottage, because I wanted a more local company than the one the previous owners had contracted with.I can’t say enough about how easy this was, and how much I appreciate their superior customer service. Everything from price, knowledge of product and options, technical service skills, scheduling and punctuality, and their online acct. management options, has been top notch. And the most outstanding facet has been the friendly, competent approach from virtually everybody I’ve interacted with in their organization.If you’re tired of the BS excuses blaming COVID, supply chain issues, and the list goes on, for lousy customer service, do yourself a favor and try HOCON if you’re considering a bottled gas provider. This post is related to a gas install for a back-up generator.First, one must take into consideration these days the lack of skilled labor and the need for more emphasis on Trade Schools.Secondly, that winter is a busy time for propane companies.It came as a disappointment to learn that the installation would be delayed for a month.The technician was professional and certainly seemed capable to perform the task. However, he hadn't been properly briefed on the requirements of the job. Because of this he didn't have enough "black" iron pipe to properly install the regulator. Rather than delay the install, he took the chance that the position of the regulator (it's vent being too near to the generator) would pass inspection. It did not pass inspection. This caused another week's delay. The remedy was, rather than relocate the regulator, to attached a lengthy tube to redirect the regulator's vent location farther from the generator. This solution will probably pass inspection. It's not, however, what one would call an ideal installation.Over all my experience with Hocon has been a bit frustrating. I try to understand the circumstances businesses must operate under these days, that doing the best job is not always easy or timely. If my experience is normal for the gas industry, it confirms how much harder we all must work to do better.John Jensen

Very unhappy with the service. Was way overcharged - more than I signed to pay, continue to be overcharged with Hocon freely debiting my account as they choose. Have received one credit back. Still fighting for the others.

We had low gas pressure in our tank. Service call sent and Hocon service people scheduled us quickly. Problem identified and resolved quickly with a new part. Very efficient operation on this issue from start to finish. Our thanks!
