Dr Sachdev is not only an intuitive veterinarian but a kind, caring man dedicated to helping people care for their pets. I started with him back in the mid ‘80’s, with a plethora of pets over the years; left for a while due to time/ location but am so grateful to be back over the last 8 years. Dr’s experience & skillset helped me keep my DaisyMae (with chronic thyroid issues) healthy till it was time for her to have eternal rest at 18.7 years old. Huge shout out for Katie and Jenna who are always on their game despite the busy and often chaotic front end, they do the hard work with dedication to pets and their owners. We adopted Marco, a shelter/rescue kitty they had housed for a year and we look forward to continuing our journey there at River Valley.

Upon entering the facility you will see the massiveness of the structure. I visit the facility at least twice a month as my two dogs are taking very well care of. The staff at the front desk is very attentive to your needs and are very quick to get you into an exam room. I think this is because there is no seating in the lobby area which is confusing as there is enough space for a lot of seating. Once you're in the exam room wait time is variable I guess it all depends on what's going on with emergencies which is understandable. But 95% of the time the technician arrives Within 5 minutes. The doctor's very very knowledgeable and with ever -changing medical advances I can see that they're eager to learn, follow up, and provide as much knowledge as they can. Price wise as with any medical practice prices are going to be high. The staff is very attentive for my pets needs an offer to them dignity and respect that one believes is necessary. One thing to note with the ongoing big companies buying up veterinary clinics and hospitals this facility is still owned by a single doctor. Also a big perk is they have on site grooming and bathing which I have to say is very beneficial having it at a vet's office just in case. Jess the groomer is the best I have a special needs dog it doesn't get along with anybody but Jess has been able to gain control of her.

Not great with communication! I booked an appointment to get 2 cats vaccinated and after waiting 15 min a room with no one telling me they would be runnnig a little behind, I was informed that the cats would first need an exam. I explained I did not need an exam and only needed the vaccinations. I was then told it is STATE LAW that they perform an exam (For $100 each!!) before they can administer a rabies vaccine. A quick Google search proved that FALSE! They also failed to mention this cost when I booked the appointment. I am sure the vet services are fine, but I recommend asking upfront what they plan to charge you. Had I not asked, my visit would have been almost $300!!

I’ve had them for 8 yrs, I always do what’s best for my dog, they don’t do the research to find out what’s really happening with your dog” just throw meds at them and hope it works, I brought my younger dog there to remove something off his chin nd come to find out they never sent it to be tested, I just brought my older dog there for 2 surgeries and when I picked him up , he was covered in urine and blood, when I voiced my concerns about this and testing other things that should of been tested before throwing meds at him, they told me I’m free to go somewhere else for my dog care, it’s all about money with them !! No care for the animal and hat there going thru, I would never go back!!

I was able to get in here for an emergency visit with one of my dogs when I couldn't get in with my own vet on 2 occasions. First time didn't care for the vet but 2nd time I actually liked the vet a lot. I would consider transferring if I could get that vet every time. Front desk is also pretty unfriendly.

Have been bringing my dog here for many yrs. Dr. Achieved and his staff are excellent, caring people. A few yrs ago one of my dogs passed in his sleep in the middle of the night. First thing in the morning i called his vet( he saw a different veterinary clinic) only to find out their office was closed due to a covid outbreak. Not knowing what to do I called River Valley since my other dog goes to that clinic. I explained my situation and even though they never once saw my other dog they said bring him in and they could take care of the cremation arrangements.
In fact I just recently had to make the difficult decision to put my other dog down. I wasn't physically able to get her in the car and bring her to the clinic so Dr. Sachdev and his team came to my house and did what needed to be done. Went over all the cremation options and took care of everything. I cant say enough good things about River Valley

Wonderful place! Dr Sachdev is easy to talk to, allows the owners to ultimately make decisions, and clearly communicates when you ask questions. He is humorous and never fails to make light of a tricky situation.
As for the front desk, I called to get a medication refilled for my cat, said it should be ready by Monday and they were right on that! They gave me an accurate time line and hassle free refills

If I could give this place a 0 star review I would the front desk lady was rude when we walked in it not sure if she was having a bad day but 0 star customer service also couldn’t provide me any help or questions her cocky attitude made the experience way harder than it needed to be also the only bathroom in there was also broken the vet was much nicer did Infact help our animal but the people are here are definitely way to cocky to deal with I suggest not wasting your time on this place

Went in for a simple rabies vaccination, as with previous visits they tried to sell multiple other things that weren’t needed, then left us sitting in the waiting room for 30 mins.
Time to find a new vet

River Valley was absolutely fabulous to work with! We own a pet boarding and daycare in Berlin and one of our beautiful daycare pets is a patient here! He had a small issue, we contacted River Valley and Katy was amazing in assisting us to not only assure us that the pup is and would be fine, but went above and beyond to contact his Mom and assure her as well. I would highly recommend them to any and all of our clients! Thank you River Valley!
