“We have been bringing our dog & cat to Middlebury Animal Hospital for years and would highly recommend to everyone.
Dr. Loeven, the previous owner was amazing to us, and he is of course missed, along with his relief veterinarian, Dr. Shanley, who was also wonderful.
Recently, Dr. Grace Woodrell has taken ownership of the hospital and she has been incredible. She is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and takes the time to answer my *many* questions.
Every single one of the vet techs are truly amazing and our animals are always so happy to see them. Our dog actually looks forward to his vet visits!
Marianne & Mary at the front desk are also very kind & welcoming. They return calls & emails promptly and always get us a same day appointment when our pets are having issues.
As an anxious pet parent, I feel my animals are in good hands when they come in for an appointment or procedure because all the staff are so reassuring.

“Better than TSC by a mile! All my plants from Smithland are thriving. No dead bare root fruit plants to be seen. I do wish the puddles in the plant section were swept out so they could dry, but that's my biggest complaint.”
“AMAZING! my boys Kevin & Wyatt (mini tigers) are no simple duo. Together they can be sweet, but not when they are bring groomed! Claudette and her team are fantastic. When I pick them up they just look beautiful. Everyone is so fun to work with. I like going there and seeing the birds. The boys are always in and out at reasonable times, even on busy days. I admire how Claudette runs her ship and would GLADLY recommend her services!! Thank you Claudette!!”

“Nice store with a good selection of homesteading equipment. I was there last week because I have a hen with an eye injury that I was trying to treat and a gentleman, who raised chickens, showed me what they had for chicken first aid, which wasn't a lot unfortunately (especially because we were concerned about what we could safely put near her eye) but I found something and he gave me some advice and was as helpful as he could be (not being a veterinarian). I was also there last night to try on a bigger pair of gloves I'd received for Christmas as they seemed tight but not necessarily too small and the gentleman at the desk told us where the gloves were, and when I still couldn't find them and went to ask him he had someone in line so I just went back to look one more time and found them right away and he came over a minute later to see if I needed help because he saw me go over which was very nice. Overall, the staff there seems very kind and helpful.”

“They're pretty cool here. I'm delivering here and they let park in the back no problem. However, the alley dock is ridiculous! Very difficult to get lined up because there is zero room to maneuver! I was brushing the trees and on a patch of dirt that probably everyone winds up on. Be prepared to have your backing skills challenged if you're a semi driver!?”
“I've been shopping here for about two years now, first with my older dog (6yrs), and now with my puppy (6mo) as well. Both of my dogs both love the offerings of toys, supplies, and "bakery" selection! I can always find what I'm looking for, and Pet Supplies Plus frequently offers discounts on products - as well as your entire order - if you subscribe to their emails!
My only downside is that the aisles are very narrow, so it's not always ideal for navigating with a cart. But, the store is always tidy and the staff is always friendly!”

“We always use this petco and all the staff are awesome. We recently got a new puppy and needed to exchange the harness we got him for a bigger size. Tameeka was amazing and made the process so easy! She was super friendly and helpful and let me know if we had any issues with the dog play pen I was also picking up that day we could return that no problem as well. 10/10 would recommend”

“Update:I left a negative review for this store a year ago. I went back a few times after that, and I have to take back what I said. Things have improved since my last visit. Their fish selection is much better. The prices are competitive, if not better, than other local stores, and the staff is friendly. The manager was helpful, knowledgeable, and very polite. I will definitely go back again.”
“It was fine but I did have two issues. I was asked to text them when I arrived but no one got back to me so I kept sitting in my car waiting. And, I had no clue where to go once I got in the store. I had to ask my dog groomer”

“I cannot say enough of good things about the staff at ARF! I filled out the application to adopt a dog, the next day I received a phone call saying the dog I was interested in already found a home but asked if I wanted to come in and meet other dogs of course I did! I played with dogs in their very large comfortable room and found my perfect dog. I picked him the next day, the paperwork was ready when I got there it was so quick and easy. They gave us EVERYTHING we needed too! Blankets, clothes, harness, a bed, food and more!!”
