Recently, I was in the market for a new vehicle. Jose Medina was fantastic from start to finish. This was my second time buying a car from Jose. Very knowledgeable and involved in all aspects of the purchase.

Where do I start? I love Mazda, but every facet of this dealership has been problematic for me, to varying degrees. SALES I: My daughter bought her first car here, and during the process, I test drove it with her. The salesman took my driver's license to make a photocopy, then failed to return it to me...until I was driving the following day and realized I was without it. Seems to me the protocol should be to IMMEDIATELY get the license back to its owner during this process. I've had sales staff in other places actually walk me to the copier to ensure license was promptly returned to me. SALES II: Deciding on a new Mazda, the exact vehicle was on their Thomaston lot. I was impressed with a wonderful gentleman from the sales staff, who met me on a Sunday for test drive, despite dealership being closed. Everything went well...until the Sales Mgr got involved in the process. For starters I was given an insultingly low, non-negotiable offer for my trade-in. (Subsequently received $2.5K higher offer from rival dealer) I also realized during the test drive that the vehicle had no NAV, a $400 add-on. When I questioned an exorbitant charge for a $70 SIM card and literally a :15 second install, the price was reduced to $200, or .0007% of list price. Yay. PARTS: I called regarding a TPMS for full size spare I was adding. I was quoted full list price. A lot of dealerships typically charge 20-30% discount from list pricing. Not Modern. I declined, and purchased online for 35% discount. SERVICE: The Mazda 6 is somewhat renowned for warping brake rotors. (Let's just say Mazda's engineering on brake components is not consistent with the rest of the vehicle) At 14k, I experienced the deceleration shuddering consistent with this issue. I immediately contacted service department for an appointment, and was advised that due to heavy repair bookings, they could not service my BRAKE ISSUE for THREE WEEKS. Given the gravity of the situation, this was an affront to my sensibilities, so I bit the bullet and had work done at my local shop the next day. So, given these circumstances, I'm hesitant to deal with Modern in the future.

My experience with Modern Mazda was excellent. My sales rep. Nicole was very professional and a pleasure to deal with as were all the staff. I would definitely recommend them.

A no pressure, pleasant process in leasing our new CX-5. Salesman John Salmon was friendly and easy to work with. Purchased a set of snow tires through the dealership at a great price. Manager Mike Belval had them installed at the dealership. Finance department was honest and actually gave us a better rate than we originally agreed on due to a new incentive. Nice facility from the waiting room to the service department. We've had the car for a week and love how it drives. Highly recommend Modern Mazda.

The service center is the only place I'll have maintenance work done. The prices are very fair and they always do a great job. I like that they send a video of their inspection for you to watch while you wait. The dealership is remodeled and very clean. I purchased my first new car here and have had Mazda's ever since.

I love the car that I purchased from Modern and the people are very nice! But there were some problems concerning paint and I had to take the car back a few times to get the problem corrected and it was very inconvenient.

Had a great buying experience with Modern Mazda, "Fish" and everyone else we encountered in our car buying journey. First off, having contacted all 32 dealerships in New England and nearby NY, Modern had the best price right off the bat for the CX-9. Being local was also a bonus. Fish helped us out prior to taking delivery as all my paperwork wasn't finished between the lien and the insurance coverage. He was very prompt with calls and emails that whole day. That night he stayed late to make sure we could drive the car a final time. Ran us through all the options in the car, and a thorough discussion of Modern Mazda and it's services. Would recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a new ride.

Just bought my second Mazda this week. Jose was just the best! He took the time to explain all of the vehicle's features, was upfront with the car's history and was clear about the entire buying process. Absolutely zero pressure. Bought a certified pre-owned CX-5. Fish was my salesperson. He was great to work with. Very personable and knowledgeable. Five stars is for Fish, and the other sales supervisor, Mike, who helped close the deal with a few extras and discounts I was asking for. Business manager was not a pleasure to work with. Be on your toes and question all charges. Thankfully Fish and Mike were great enough to warrant a five star review despite my displeasure with the business manager.

Kim Gelada was AMAZING throughout this whole process. The first day I came into Modern it was a half hour before close (I'm a single mom with a car that was totaled a few weeks before at the hands of a snow plow and not much time to car search), and Kim stayed well after close ON A FRIDAY to get me all the information I needed to send to the credit union so I could get approved for my loan if I had decided to purchase a vehicle. She let me test drive two vehicles, one of which I ended up purchasing. Kim was very sweet, down to earth and not pushy. She was encouraging for either car I was interested in and gave me some personal experience with both vehicles. Even though I was on a time constraint not having a safe vehicle to drive, she did not try to shove either of these vehicles down my throat as some other dealership workers have. I appreciate Kim working diligently alongside me to get me into my beautiful 2014 Mazda 6!
