I live one minute from Stop and Shop on the West side but I travel to Big Y to shop. Why? Because the store is very clean, the staff are very helpful and the selection of most of the items I like or use are there. The sandwich deli makes very good grinders and their prices are impossible for anyone else in town to beat. I especially like their tuna grinders. The bakery is awesome....too awesome for me as it turns out because I've developed an addiction to the mudslide cookies and the triple chocolate cake.

This review is for their pizza.Do you want pizza with your onions?Do you want pizza with your garlic?it doesn't matter what kind of slice you get, you're getting garlic pizza, onion pizza, or garlic and onion pizza unless you order a custom pie and specify none of either.

They have a large cheese selection and a large assortment of local goods you can't find anywhere else.

Big bags of ice was a plus. Very clean and people were very helpful and friendly.
