I do not have the words to describe the treatment I recieved here. Absolutely top shelf service. Starting with the Service Dept, top notch, Parts Dept top notch, and Sales Dept i couldn't ask for a better salesperson Amanda was AMAZING, PHENOMENAL..... I am so overjoyed with my purchase.......and looking forward to a long relationship with using the services of the Subaru family.....

While traveling from the Midwest, we noticed our car’s heater stopped working and many warning lights came on. I called Gengras Subaru and they gave us immediate assistance. We were only in town for a short time and their assistance allowed us to stay on schedule. Their customer service was exceptional! Liam was courteous and understanding of our concerns. We also received a follow up message while traveling back to ensure everything was in good order. I highly recommend Gengras Subaru for their professionalism and courtesy!

We were looking for another used car and found one on Gengras' website. However, it was in East Hartford. Katherine went above and beyond and was able to get the car brought down to the Torrington dealer the next day.
Thank you very much Katherine. When we arrived for our appointment, we were greeted promptly and in very short order, Amanda, the salesperson came over. Very pleasant and most easy to work with. Without delay we took the car for a test drive. We decided to purchase the car. Very quick, easy, and transparent process. Of course the dealer presented add-ons, which we declined. Deal was made and forms signed. It should be noted that this was a cash sale so no finance issues. Amanda then told us that she was scheduling the first service appointment. We declined and asked her not to make the appointment and she she agreed. Three days later we received an email confirming our service appt. We had to email them back and say we didn't want it and that we told Amanda not to schedule it. They apologized and canceled it. Not Amanda's fault, put this on the policy of the dealer. The next day, we received a call from Tai, finance manager, that the car was ready. The car was clean and in good order. Registration transferred. Of course the dealer, Tai, presented options; extended warranty, under coating etc. We declined and there was no issue. Our first time dealing with Gengras and it was enjoyable. Many thanks to all that made this process smooth, painless, and a breeze. We would definitely go there again. Quality dealer, even with the service appt. issue and the attempted up sell.

Wonderful Experience with Lia at Gengras Subaru Torrington!
My husband and I had such a great experience working with Lia while shopping for a used vehicle at Gengras Subaru in Torrington. Worst oil change I've ever gotten. For my scheduled servicing it took over an hour and a half on top of the fact that the guy who brought me out to my car and went over the paperwork about what they did lied straight to my face with a smile. He said they topped off all the fluids which wasn't true seeing as in my Coolant reservoir was below the the line for the low point and the reservoirs right there when you open the hood so they didn't even try. Really disappointed in this experience after the good experience I had buying the car from them.

i recently just purchased a brand new subaru legacy with gengras subaru in torrington! the team most specifically perry were so kind and helpful with helping me take home my dream car! i couldn’t have done it without the help of perry and the rest of the team here at subaru. i would definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a brand new car :)

Gengras Subaru was great to work with, had several options. Prices were fair and did not have a lot of wiggle room for negotiation. Lia was our sales rep who did an outstanding job finding us our vehicle. Between Lia and Tai they made everything easy and put the time in to find reasonable rates and the warranty i wanted. Will go back but hopefully not for many years (hopefully this car lasts a long time).

Please never come to this dealership if you're a young woman. In August 2020, I was a 24 year old who went to this dealership to buy a new Subaru Forester. The man that talked to me, kept making misogynistic jokes, asking my father if he would have to take over payments once I no longer could handle the responsibility. My dad just laughed it off, but I was extremely put off. Instead I traveled to Premier Subaru Dealership in Branford, and was treated with the utmost respect, I also got a great deal 0.00% APR for 5 years. The awful experience at Gengras will always stay with me, I refuse to let a man (boy) tell me what I can or can't do. I have officially paid off my 2020 Forester, months early. And it was through no help from this dealership. Thank you for being so awful to me, I spent my money elsewhere

I had an outstanding experience in dealing with Lia at Gengras Subaru! She was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in the purchase of my new Forester. Lia was very patient and she explained everything I had questions about.
Gengras had the vehicle I was looking for at really great price. I am very pleased I was able to do business with Lia and her associates Kevin and Kathryn as well at Gengras. I’m certainly glad I went to Gengras for my Forester and look forward to many, many…safe, secure and smooth miles ahead in it!

Hunter,Tai,Brandon and the rest of the staff that helped me test drive and buy my car are great people! They treated my friend and I like we were old friends or family. I love my car and when it comes time to buy another I will definitely head back to see them at Gengras Subaru!!!

We love our Forester!!
Molly got us exactly what we wanted and when we walked in we had no idea which model we were going to go for. She talked to us about our lifestyle and then chose some options that we could look through and we fell in love with the Forester!
We liked our experience so much that we drove 2 hours to pick up our car (we live in NY) but the customer service is out of this world!
Only thing (which probably won’t be a problem for you) is that they weren’t well acquainted with NY tax and it added an additional cost at the end that we had assumed was already rolled into the price.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Gengras Subaru!
First, I had an oil change done a few weeks ago. Service was great. Unfortunately (turned fortunate keep reading) there was a chip in my paint from their complimentary car wash. I called them as soon as I found it and the service department was closed. Bright and early the following Monday morning Jeff, service manager, called me to let me know to bring it in and they would take care of it and give me a loaner. They apologized, but I was thankful for their customer service and the ease of resolving the problem, which matters way more then the accident that happened.
Well.... they let me pick the loaner and it was a 2024 Forester. I loved it so much that a few days later we stopped there after work to look at a 2025 Forester. They were able to work with us to get me into a lease payment that I was comfortable with. They even kept the dealer open a whole hour later just for us.
I worked with Molly in sales, who is personable, funny and great at what she does. We also worked with Tai who was great in helping us get the right payment and deal. Gabriel was thorough and knowledgeable of the vehicle and all of its features. He was able to tell me the exact differences between my legacy and the new Forester. Brandon was also awesome through all of the paperwork and details.
I kept the loaner until I came to pick up the new car and my old car was waiting there for me to take my belongings out of it.
They are honest and friendly. We will be back for service and future purchases on vehicles when our lease is up!
