The gym itself is nice with much to offer those of varying experience levels. Having 24 hour access is also a nice perk. Only thing I don't like is how may emails the company sends with no way to opt out or unsubscribe.

SCAM Definitely read before you join so you have full transparency. I’m not one to leave reviews, but this place sucks. I believe I’m a fair person so I do have to say the workers are honestly nice and respectful, that’s basically the only good thing I have say. but the gym is a scam, planet fitness is better. Planet fineness equipment may suck but at least they don’t scam you like this. I’m an avid lifter and have been part of many gyms and this one definitely is the biggest scam. I payed for their highest membership, and never used any of the things it offered, and was going to have shoulder surgery so I wanted to down grade my membership. they wouldn't allow this, unless I replayed the startup fee, and cleaning fee for the year, so I was going to cancel but they convinced me to put my membership on hold, which is 1$ a week. I did this because I couldn't work out during my recovery period of my shoulder. I wanna note that I payed for the no contract and highest version of their membership. I’m midway through my shoulder recovery now and a gym closer to me that I like more adjusted their hours, so I just decided to cancel the membership. So when I canceled they said they had to reactivate my account and charge me for the month because their is 30 day notice of cancelation. No one ever discussed this with me. The next day they charged me 31$, which doesn’t make sense because I pay $10.61 bi-weakly. I called to ask why so much and they told me that the day I canceled fell on a billing day, which doesn’t make sense, cause they billed me last week and the account was on hold so that would be only 1$ for that week. I realize this isn’t a lot of money but it’s about the principal and is a shady way of squeezing more money out of your customers. (I should note that you have to cancel in person, that is the only way they will do it, although i believe this is normal for gyms to do, at least for most of the ones I’ve used.) Additionally it’s so irritating I can’t even use the gym this last month cause I just had shoulder surgery and can’t work out even tho I’m paying for it. I payed for the no contract so I wouldn't have to deal with any of this stuff. I forgot to mention the guest-pass that comes with orange pass is such a scam too. They make your guest give them an id, and give their email and phone number every time you come in and it takes forever. If someone is using the IPAD they make you sit their and wait for it to be free. Once we had to wait 20 minutes because they were signing someone else up on the iPad. Another time I forgot to tell my guest to tell them he’s been there and he said it was his first time so they insist you have to do this 30 minute tour. It ate up almost all our workout. One more thing never give them your phone number. When I bring a guest I always tell them to give them a wrong phone number! I’ve blocked 5 different numbers, and the constantly fill your voicemail. The calls are relentless and from different numbers so you don’t recognize them.NOT TO MENTION MOST OF THE EQUIPMENT SUCKS, if u wanna get big go to a different gym. there was a chance I was going to return to this gym but not now. I apologize for the grammatical errors in this post, i wrote this on my phone and I have big fingers.Update: I have no idea what the companies response is talking about. It would be nice if they explained the 31$ charge.

Avoid if possible. All the responses from them about how there is a gym down the street giving them bad reviews is probably not true. I have just tried to cancel my membership and it was so difficult for no reason. Calling is absolutely no help. They are very pushy to spend, spend, spend. Lets see how long they try to charge me now. So frustrating.

I’ve called this gym MULTIPLE times about ending marketing phone calls from them. I’ve blocked multiple phone numbers and still receive calls from them. Just called today and the person I talked to was rude when I made it clear their marketing strategy makes it that I never want to set foot in the place. Stay away or they will never stop harassing you

I've been a member here for just over 2 years. The gym is clean and very well kept. They have plenty of equipment do do what ever you want to do. The personal training is top notch. Julian has gotten me into the best shape of my life and is always willing to teach you something new. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Warning: You will get more marketing phone calls from this place than from companies advertising an extended warranty plan for you car. Feeling lonely? This place will call you more than your clingy ex. I visited this place ONCE, and made the mistake of leaving my real phone number. I've told them TWICE to take me off the marketing list, and that did nothing. I NEVER leave reviews, but this place just annoyed me to no end.

I’ve been a member of Club 24 in Torrington for many years and have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the club, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the equipment. I’m greeted personally on my way in and out of every workout as the staff clearly makes an effort to get to know its members. I started training bi-weekly with Julian about a year ago and have never felt pressured to spend more on my training which I find a lot of clubs tend to do. Julian has always been flexible to my schedule and encouraging of my efforts and always has the most positive attitude. Highly recommend.

Stay away from this gym. They rope you in by stating a free 2 weeks which isn’t true. Then you are still responsible for the next 2 months. They conveniently forget to tell you about the large annual fee. Went here 1 time, machines aren’t level and bathrooms smell terrible as if they haven’t ever been cleaned. They are charging me almost $60 for this one day and keep saying ”there’s nothing we can do”. How about do what’s right and take care of your customers.

Very happy with the Torrington Club 24. Good variety and adequate number of machines. Clean facility with an excellent HVAC system. A pleasure to work out there.

I've been a member of Club 24 for many years and have always been happy with the staff, equipment and cost. I'm greeted personally each time I walk in and the facilities are clean and kept up with. I've been training for about a year with Julian and his positive attitude keeps me going on days where mine might not be so positive. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a new gym.

Door does not work and when this is brought to their attention they make up excuses such as “you are not current on charges” when this is not the case for me or they’ll say “it obviously is working, people are getting in” when I’ve stood out there with 4 people and none of us could get our card to scan. Then, their solution one day was to leave the door unlocked overnight. I am very disappointed as the gym itself is nice, but the staff and management are terrible and do not care if people are happy. They also are trigger happy in charging “trespass” fees. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are leaving the door broken to make a killing on the trespass fees.
